I'm not saying he's the next coming of Torrey but I think given real experience he could become a low risk high reward.

I agree Brown looks amazing with his route running and tough catches.  The dude came down with the ball when 3 defenders surrounding him, not mentioning he runs crispy route; therefore, Joe can hit him in the run.

Doss is just an odd man out there.......

So now the Doss apologists want him cut..........

He doesn't do anything soon, he will be. But this is about Marlon Brown.

His sloppy play hurt him in the eyes of a lot of people. Looked lazy. I don't care one way or another if he is cut at this point.

I like that Brown has a knack for...wait for it...getting open.  It's nice to see that Ravens receivers can still do this from time to time.  He looked more mature than I thought he would in finding the soft spot in the zones and using his body position to gain separation.  Add to that the fact that he actually caught the ball when it was thrown his way, and I think we might have ourselves a great find here.

We have Doss apologists? Lol.

Used to(they dropped him like a hot potato), but sorry for going off topic. I think Marlon looks very good all around and has very good height. That being said i want to see more of him vs tight man coverage.

Injury last year. He should've been a good prospect had it not be an ACL.

Marlon's td catch was the best catch by a receiver this preseason , followed by Mellette's sideline Td catch

Mellette caught a TD? Did I miss something?

Doss is as good as done. I thought Mellette/Stokley already took care of him. Now I think Brown may have done away with Williams. I can't see us keeping more than 6 WRs

I'm pretty sure we have more Deonte apologists

Never did get the Deonte hype. But he's safer than Doss, at least Deonte can return kicks.

Deonte is a dream, Doss was denial. And yes Deonte is more dangerous on returns. Back to Marlon though do we know exactly how he fares against the press consistently?

Some of it is the eyeball test. Deonte has flashed where Doss has not.

I haven't seen enough of him outside of tonight. But that was pretty good coverage on the TD. This is a guy who fights for the ball.

Remind me again why you think Thompson has done more than Williams. I mean, Thompson played in one game and didn't really look spectacular

I think he will make the team but its more about playing time or chances that he will see the field. He's a playmaker and we are in need of those types of skills. With the cuts coming up I feel bad but some people played themselves off the team. Marc Anthony better hope for a PS spot because he has looked awful this preseason. We all pretty much kniw were only taking two qbs into this season. It really comes down to special teams for these bubble players. The Reed trade did light a fire under our RBs tho so that was a good thing.

Good question.  I'd hope we use him more in the stacked or spread sets so that he wouldn't have to face too much of that anyway.  I don't see him taking over as a starter and getting an entire side of the field to himself just yet.

Doss looked really disappointing. Outside of the one catch where he fought hard for some extra yards, I felt like he played a really poor game. It's really disappointing that he hasn't put it together, but the way Brown looked and the way Mellette looked I just don't know if he has room now. In fact, Marlon Brown looked good overall. People talk a lot about LaQuan Williams, but Marlon Brown looked good run blocking as well in addition to helping other WRs pick up more yards by blocking for them. Mellette looked good on ST, making some nice and decent coverage stops.
