QB Joe Flacco

Joe Flacco and Superman made a bet on who would win a battle. The loser had to wear his underwear on the outside of his clothes

Anyone else sick of hearing what a great loss RAY LEWIS was and how in the world are the RAVENS going to survive without him.

The saying is,  Play like a RAVEN , not play like a Lewis.

Ray Lewis is a RAVEN, Not the RAVENS are a Ray Lewis.

I think we played pretty well without him when he went down. I think the biggest loss was Pollard.

Joe Flacco once shot down a plane with a football.

Its True , i was in the plane. He hit the Left Engine. Had to jump out with a parachute.

Only reason he threw it was because Skip Bayless was in it.  :banana1:

its preseason really hes probably not going to try very hard and they signed flacco to a huge contract (not quit sure what the numbers are) so he pretty much has a guarenteed spot and if he does throw a int it didnt matter alot before because of there good defense so the ints really dont matter

Flacco had to go to court as a witness and when he swore in he said; "so help me...me!"

Flacco was staring down receivers in some cases last night. That should've been pick 6 was just awful.

But no QB is gonna succeed throwing 62 times.

Flacco played well overall . No run game with Oher out and Gino getting pushed back 2 yards every play was a major factor in the loss . Of course our tight ends played like they were at one of the marijuana shops prior to the game .

Flacco needs to stop staring down WRs and hit the open guy. That's if the WRs and TEs can get open.

I think it's time we acknowledge that Flacco is what he is, a streaky guy like Eli. He can win (duh), but he's always gonna do something that makes you want to tear your hair out.

That's where the trust factor comes in. He needs to gain chemistry and practice a lot with his new guys. Trust doesn't come over night.

Flacco got no help last night. That second pick was awful, but it was a terrible play call anyways. 4th and 1 and you're in shotgun? He had to get rid of it.

How many big plays were dropped?

Disclaimer: I am a huge Flacco fan and apologist.

However, my worries really began in training camp and pre-season games. Flacco was throwing interceptions like crazy and I thought - Man, I hope he doesn't play like he is practicing. The problem is he stares down receivers on slants which are prime candidates for pick sixes! We saw it in pre-season and we saw it last night.

I don't know if it is just happenstance or it is so ingrained in him that it won't change. Throwing as many times as he did was scary as well. His completion percentage was abysmal ( thanks to his inaccuracy at times and also to his inept receivers). Folks, I am praying this is an outlier with Joe and not a pattern that we have seen through out the course of his career. Hot one day and not the other. We need consistency from Joe to be successful every Sunday. Not awesomeness, but consistency of play.

It was just a bad outting by the whole offense.  No one is exempt.

Except Torrey, he had a nice game.

And young Marlon Brown

Jacoby Jones was playing GREAT until he got hurt.

Flacco is what he is. He'll never be consistent.

Contract renegotiation in 2016 will be interesting.

Exactly. I'm not gonna defend him like he played great, because he did make a few boneheaded plays (flushing the pocket too early, that near pick 6 he didn't even look before he threw it, should've been picked twice more,) and his demeanor was AWFUL. I understand and even like the "Cool Joe" thing, but you've got to be COOL then, not look like you want to kill yourself. He looked miserable and like he gave up when he wasn't being protected and guys were dropping easy passes. I understand being frustrated but everyones looking at you, either get ticked off and chew em out for it, or keep smiling. You can play the in between game and look ticked but not do anything about it.

BUT aside from that - he threw the ball 62 times. No QB is going to have success doing that. And COUNT THE DROPS. If those are all caught his completion percentage actually looks really good, has at least 1 more TD and probably an extra 100 yards. That stat line would look pretty darn good.

On the drops. Dickson cant catch under pressure. He can only be used on designed plays to get him in space. Clark only caught 1 ball cleanly, and he ended up fumbling it after gaining 20 yards. WEAR SOME GLOVES DUDE!

Speaking of which, does Joe ever get with his WRs after practice like Manning and other great QBs do? I hope he does. It is critical he gets chemistry or whatever it is that prevents him from showing the defense what he is about to do!

Sure, Flacco is no Peyton or Brady, but he is a very good QB, IF, big if, he has some help. A little decent blocking on the line, some WR and TE that actually know what the word "catch" means, any sort of run game. There are not very many QBs that can take a mid-level team and still win. Peyton and Brady are the only two I can think of that are playing today. Even Rodgers and Brees need some sort of decent team to win.
