For those of us who love digital football as well as real life football, our wait is coming to an end. This thread is about more than just the video game its about an objective quantifiable rating of our players. How do you guys think we are rated as a team? Do the ratings match up with what you see in the games? What are your favorite Ravens formations? Does playing with the Ravens digitally, help you understand our Offense and complex defense? What are some upgrades madden could use that would make the Ravens even more of a unique experience? Why is Bernard Pierce's strength so low?

Here are the full ratings for every player

As far as your question goes, I run a madden site (and i'm not sim by any means) and my favorite formations from the Ravens book are Weak H Close, Shotgun Wing Trips, hidden tight plays out of the singleback doubles flex formation, shotgun bunch, strong h twins, and shotgun Split Raven. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't make any real changes for the transition to Caldwell's offense, but I guess our offensive won't be changed too dramatically in real life.

Wow we pretty much run with the same Formations, I love Doubles Flex to death and wing trips is my go to in shotgun. What are some of your basic defensive plays and are they in line with what we call irl? I love cover 1 lurk and quarters out of 34 predator and the cover 3 out of the unique Ravens "Over Ed" formation. Also 3 double buzz out of the 3-3-5.

Some of these havent been touched in years, theres no effort to keep updated with the depth chart during the camps and preseason.

Edit: It seems that Chris Canty and Doom are apparently average players now, must be that purple jersey.

I feel like for the most part they got it right. I think Torrey should be a little higher, as well as Graham and Doom.

I thought they made some fair changes that went against popular opinion like lowering Ray Rice's elusiveness to an 84 and at the same time made second year kicker Tucker a monster like he should be. I was afraid they would hold back because of only one year of production. Oher will be a beast in CCM still because of his 98 strength. I will definitely be resigning him.

In madden I run a 4-3 and 4-6 so I never use the Ravens' book. In the demo though I've pretty much solely worked out of each Nickel form and 43 Over.

I use the Giants play book like every time because I like to run a fair amount of plays out of the NASCAR package.

Canty is an 85 right? Thats not really average. Doom is overall an average player, he is a really good pass rusher and a really bad run defender, it evens out.

They're close to right.  I'll forgive them for giving Flacco 98 arm strength, that's close enough.  His deep accuracy is really underrated though, they're definitely basing that off the regular season stats when Cam was preventing offensive production.  Yanda is either the top or second highest rated guard, so that's great.  KO is underrated and they're doing guess work on Gino, McKinnie and Oher are pretty close.  Jacoby is a little overrated, Torrey is rated pretty fairly, and they gave Pitta a nice rating despite the fact you can't really use him during your first season or in competitive play.  I'll have to see the defensive rankings to see how close they are on the team overall, but I think they were actually pretty fair on offense.

You missed the point, their ratings are lower than at the end of last season.

Maybe they are making the ratings a little more realistic. People have been saying they toned them down a bit. What are your favorite formations and do you use the exact ones the Ravens use in real life?

Jacoby is overrated once again. They must have a thing for him. I was pretty upset at KO being that low especially since they supposedly use PFF and they gave KO the game ball in the Superbowl refocused review. On the 98 arm strength, I think they will only give 99 to Stafford. Does playing with the Ravens help you understand our real life defense better?

Madden 25 is the best Madden yet!! When you use the Ravens at home you can here the fans chanting 7 Nation Army in the stands when you score a TD or make a big play on D!! Seems as though it gets louder when you start blowing your opponent out!!

ea ticket. It was 25 bucks tho. Its pretty killer and the Ravens are definitely an exciting team to play owner mode as. Steve Bisciotti looks cool, hes easily the coolest looking owner on the game. The scouting department is level 30(even higher than level 28 Harbaugh) the situations with the stadium are realistic, and guys like Flacco,Suggs, and Ray Rice sell jerseys through the roof. I know some people are unsatisfied but the Ravens ratings are pretty much on point aside from a few miscues(like overrating Upshaw pass rush ability and underrating his block shedding).

The defensive ratings of our players are disappointing throughout.  Like a lot of guys have said, people are worse than they were at the end of Madden 13's last roster update, and they really punished Suggs for getting injured despite his recent DPOY.  I thought they were fair on offense, but really the fairness depends on how they rated each players development trait, assuming that's how player progression still works.

How's the gameplay and is franchise mode back? I really don't want to buy this if its no better than 13

It is definitely better than 13 but it does have its own flaws. The run game has taken center stage and they added Owner mode to CCM which is turning out to be very fun. The zone coverage is better than where 13 was at and the game feels a a lot better if you were one of those people who only played sim. The gameplay still needs some more tuning but I would say its a pretty good buy if you can find a good online league with 32 players. I'm in one now(a sim league) and we are pretty excited

How's the inferface for fantasy drafting a franchise? Is it more like 12 or 13. I felt like the one they added to 13 was terrible, while the one for 12 was perfect. Can you do an offline fantasy draft with multiple ppl?
