Jamie Dukes from NFL Network: Ravens look like the Jaguars

65 posts in this topic

This man just said " we looked like Jacksonville-esque, we are clearly headed towards being on level like jags after that preseason game. "

This guy just gets on my nerves.

Jamie Dukes, the guy who claimed he had inside sources into the Ravens locker room in 2011 and it turned out most of those guys were a bunch of ex-Ravens with an axe to grind.

Well he looks like Cee Lo Green lol

Why care what this guy says? The only reason why he's there is to make Warren Sapp actually look insightful.

He is, after all, correct about our starters' struggles. However, it is preseason. It doesn't mean we're going to suck once the regular season arrives.

See Haters Thread.

We looked like garbage that preseason game but I don't think Dukes' polished head said anything like this about the Falcons last week when they got rocked. How can someone be so consistently wrong and unlikeable and still be on television?

Probably because they can pay him less than they would have to pay an actual analyst.

This is true. They just have to pay him with bald polish and warm gatorade and he can do his thing.

Saying we're heading towards Jags status is idiotic though.

It is true and there is cause for concern, but predicting, that the Ravens fall to 2-14 records is beyond stupid. It's not like we did any better than this last year. Actually we kind of did worse.

Week 3 is the one crucial game for the starters, that's when Dukes can make his comments. Making those kind of comments after the second pre-season game though?

Agree the Starters did not look good at all last evening..
Yes it's preseason but there is concern.

Why does everyone say this every pre-season? It was said many times during the last one - I don't need to remind people what happened.

Jamie Dukes is a badge wearing Ravens hater..every season there are multiple threads about him. He jumps on every chance to take a shot at the Ravens.

Its a PRACTICE game. People need to chill. We looked even worse in pre season last year. Vanilla offense, vanilla defense.

True but the team looks lost without Pitta and another playmaker besides T. Smith. The O-line is not
run blocking well right now.

Last year the Jaguars had a 2-14 record. He's expecting us to be on that level?

ha...hahaha :lol3:

If it happens, we will have Clowney and Doom for the next few years!!!

Nobody should listen to a man that was a subpar lineman throughout his entire career. I mean has never liked Flacco and the Ravens, so I take his words with a grain of salt. I believe we do the same thing every year by not showing our hand at all in the preseason. I wouldnt think this year is any different.

OTOH NFL AM was quite kind to us and the highlights were flattering. If you only saw that, you'd think we were on our way to 16-0.

NFLAM has always liked us, anyway. It's Total Access that hates us.

Well, for the second straight game There "Starters" have
Been ahead of our "Sarters". We got pushed around on defense. The secondary was abysmal. The Offense was listless. At one time early in the game it was 17 to 2 in first downs. The receivers, barring Torrey Smith, couldn't run routes. ray Rice is averaging about 1.75 yards
A carry after 2 games.

Oh, but Clark and Stokely didn't play!!!

We lost a lot of starters and we lost them in key positions. Their absence was clearly felt last night.

John Harbaugh said it was the worst first half of football he has ever seen. I am fine with Jaime Dukes' comments. See if we can get a sound bite on it and play it over speakers when the offense practices. Use it as a spark to light the fire under their butts.

We couldn't run the ball because we were using a makeshift o-line (and they were NOT good). I don't expect to see those 3 starting in those positions come week 1.
