Mellette is everything we wanted Streeter to be. He needs more reps.

 

He had 1 reception the whole game!  Let's not jump on the Mellette bandwagon just yet.

One reception the whole game?  He hasn't come in to a game until the third quarter against Tampa, and fourth quarter tonight.  Come on... He has had a TD in both preseason games so far, drew a PI tonight, played on special teams both games, and had a good week at practice, and so far it doesn't look like the game is too big for him.   I think that says he has taken advantage of the opportunities he has been given so far.

On Mallette?  Very talented guy who was productive for 3 straight years in college.  The knock on the guy is that he rarely played top competition and when he did, he really wasn't very productive.  Of course that's always going to be a product of the team as a whole i.e. if the QB and O-line don't do their jobs, the receiver won't either.  Most importantly, he was used a lot over the middle, in traffic, showed he can adjust to the ball and make grabs in traffic.  He's the kind of guy that's a dark horse to make the final 53, but most likely he'll be either IRed or put on the practice squad to see how he looks next year.  I think he could be a very good NFL receiver if he keeps developing.

Once again Ozzie strikes as he proves our backups are just as talented as our starters. The way we were able to come back in that game, was incredible. 

 

 

I wouldn't go that far.  But I will say compared to the other teams in the NFL, we have better depth.  We always do.  it was no surprised we had such a strong 4th quarter.

 

Most teams like to go 'Stars and Scrubs' where Ozzie likes to draft and develop.  Which leads to better depth.

Okay I think I may owe an explanation about being on warp time last night. See I had a meeting I couldn't miss and had to pause the show. I had to rewind a good 30 mins not to miss a thing. However, I would be able to hit the 30 sec advance button every time an ad came or a time out was taken. So, I figured I would eventually catch up with you guys.

I finally did before the game was finished. And no, I do not have dial up. I just have a great rewind button and my fast forward button was jammed up yesterday! lol
