I just want Joe Flacco to outplay Ryan through the first half of this game. That will just show us that Flacco is clearly the superior talent who is gonna win us another SB!

Well, I'd think you'd sooner find a bear in your backyard pool in your enchanting Transylvania ;)

Flacco has as many SB rings as Matty Ice has playoff wins. I think have that covered.

You need that to know who's better??? ;)

If we try to look at it fairly, i guess we can say that both of them are very good QB's, Flacco isn't particularly better than Ryan if we're talking about the skills - but he seems way more effective when it really counts than Ryan.

I mean...I guess I want Flacco to do well because Falcons fans are super annoying and I don't want to hear them gloat. But at the same time, you could just remind them that they're gloating about a preseason game. "Of course Matty did well, the game doesn't matter." Done and done.

Anyway, Roddy and JJ will be a good test for our secondary.

I like Joe more, but he's our QB.  Ryan is still a good player and we've given him a lot of flack on the board's because of the media perception that he's way ahead of Flacco.  They're completely different players though.  Joe Flacco is an elite arm talent, there's maybe 2 or 3 other guys in the league that have comparable arm strength.  Ryan has an average arm, maybe even below average, but is good at the mental aspects of the game.  That leaves Flacco more upside, which I think we'll start to see now that Cam is no longer with us to actively prevent the offense from succeeding.  Either way, I don't think Matt Ryan is a handicap on your team, and he's such a choir boy that he was exactly what Atlanta needed after Vick.

Here comes the Ryan vs. Flacco again.  Why can't we just let these two guys be their own QBs?  Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I'm hoping our starting D-Line can do something against their weak O-line.

Agreed.  I'm sure if the cards were flipped and Ryan was a Raven we'd be defending Ryan.  That's the way the cookie crumbles (I have no idea if that expression fits aptly here).

Here's who's not playing tonight:

Ravens scratch Webb, Chris Johnson, McClain, Lewis-Moore, Yanda, Jensen, D. Thompson, Dickson, Pitta, Spears

Would have liked to have Deonte on the field.  Other than that, nothing to see here.

Looking forward to the WR battle tonight.  Or moreso whover can step up the most.

Yeah pretty much.  I know what's wrong with everybody on that list except Chris Johnson.  I wonder what's going on with him.

he had a note handed to harbs to visit the doc lol

Dennis Pitta (hip surgery) will soon visit Dr. Bryan Kelly in New York City for a determination on whether he can return this season.

It's an obvious long shot, but the Ravens aren't giving up hope. Hence, the second opinion. Kelly recently performed Percy Harvin's hip surgery to repair a labral tear. Harvin is expected to return late in the year, but his injury was not nearly as severe as Pitta's hip dislocation with a fractured bone.
