To be fair, the whole team wasn't allowed to use the middle of the field.  That was the biggest change from Cam to Caldwell.

Torrey was too busy running the same route in a boiler template play that wasn't fooling anyone.

 

If Torrey is going to step up as a pure WR1, he needs to get more involved like that throughout the game.  Love it.

His scouting report when he was drafted said he could be used for stuff exactly like that, making plays in space with his explosive speed, yet we didn't see any of it.  So many wasted years.
