Matty Ice comes to town, and he shall be melted!

Should be a good matchup, as we get a real test for our defense.....

Finally they come to Bmore, seems like we go there every year.

ANyway not a whole lot of development in the Jones vs. Deonte vs. Doss battle, will be interested to see how that works out when they get a little more playing time.

Also will be a pretty good test for our defense.

How do our corners match against those WRs? Last year, they got toasted by them in PS

Considering Julio Jones is a freak athlete, and White is great as well..

We'll get toasted again... Not because we suck.

But Webb is too Small for Julio and White can't be covered lol

we`ll see about the receiver matchup problem. Last I checked a QB cant throw the ball when his face is in the turf.

Haha.

That Oline of their's is really solid though...

Like I said, good test

I'm so glad this preseason's Ravens/Falcons match-up is being played in Charm City. I honestly can't stand the lighting in the Georgia Dome...

Anyways, I'm curious to see how the pass rush interrupts a passing attack like Atlanta's; without Lardarius Webb, I want to know if Baltimore's front-seven can beat their offensive line and throw Matt Ryan off his game (to the point where they can carry the defensive backs). Oh, and someone needs to step-up and grab that #2 wide receiver spot.

They're a bit banged up, though.  I think we can still get solid pressure.

They are not our friends. There like the annoying neighboors who shoot guns at 2:00 at night.

Hahaha! So true given their location. Usually Atl has a good O-line. Should be a sweet battle in the trenches, but I think our D will win.  I remember Gradkowski's first start at center I think last pre-season and he got owned by them. Hope he learned a thing or two under Birk

It used to be. They lost their Right tackle for the season. And IIRC their current LT isnt anything to write home about.

Imo Jimmy would cover Julio and White is definitely not too much for Webb. Ask Richard Sherman about Roddy White. He's terrible against the press if the corner also has the speed to recover. Fortunately for him, if he's getting pressed his OC moves him inside so CB's can't check him at the line without creating holes in the defense. That said, Webb (and even Chykie if he can get it together) can handle him just fine.

Well it depends. Jimmy will get toasted by either of them. They are both deadly in the art of running routes(Julio has almost gotten there already) and we have no one to go head to head with Julio without help. Aside from those two starting receivers im not so sure about their passing attack. We probably will get toasted in the beginning until they take them out. I think we can win the game off of our 2nd and 3rd string guys. We just have too much depth. The bigger test is our WRs vs their secondary. They have two young but very talented rookies who will make an impact this year and we need to see if Doss,DT, and LaQuan can get open vs them and make plays...

This. With all the QB comparisons and their fans regularly trying to tear down Flacco, I really can't stand them.

I don't know why this was negged because there's a volume of truth to it, White is no spectacular athlete and definitely not speed wise. He gets open with physicality and borderline offensive PI, guys like Sherman can go all day with WRs like White. I'd really like to see Jimmy go head on with White all game in press coverage with rotated safety help now and then to keep Ryan from just throwing jump balls. It'd be good for JSmiths development and realistically the only way we can keep those two WRs from going off. Whoever covers Julio will need help all game long.

But White I've never been a fan of as a WR, gets away with almost as much interference as Revis did in 2010 and 2011.

I hope Webb doesn't play yet.

I doubt webb plays until week 4, just a few series to see how he is.

EDIT: Preseason.
