Preseason 1 - Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A guy fumbles the ball on the goal line.

He recovers it.

The ball lands on the chalk, effectively crossing the plane.

Why would it not be a TD?

My whiparound coverage is about to become Broncos/49ers with a teeny bit of other games. I don't like drive charts anymore, I want to see what's happening.

I think Shiancoe will be the perfect pick up. A lot of experience combined with adequate skills, that's a serviceable tight end until Dickson comes back :)

I didn't like the play calling choices early in this game. It's pre-season, the score doesn't matter. We needed to be able to evaluate WRs so IMO they should have had Flacco airing the ball out to test these guys with your #1 QB. After all, either Taylor or Hanie can go in there and hand the ball off to give the RBs some work.

I think we only keep 3 RBs this year.  Rice and Pierce are the top 2 runners and Allen has some power and a place on Special Teams.

Rainey would be great for a team looking for a returner or backup returner but we already have a bunch on the team. Jones, Thompson, Doss (punt/safety), and David Reed.  I think we keep an extra receiver or two.  Most likely Reed and Streeter.

Anthony Allen is a guy who needs to stand out on offense as well as special teams.

I disagree.  We kept Ayanbadejo around for years when he was a ST player only.

As harsh of a Tyrod Taylor critic as I've been, I'll give the man his props. He's done better in this game in terms of deciding to pass more than run, and his throws are a bit crisper.

I genuinely hope he becomes a complete QB so that he'll find a starting job elsewhere. That's the best you can hope for any backup, is to develop them into quality players as a contingency and then get the highest possible value for them.

Backup RBs looked okay on that drive.  Actually, I only have the radio broadcast, so I guess I should say they sounded good on that drive.

Absolutely, Caldwell playing conservative

i'd like for him to let Tyrod throw it o our receivers for them to get some work.

I'm just assuming he doesn't want to give away much before the season starts.

Maybe but you've gotta give the players something to work on. I'm not complaining, it led to points but the shallow passes and runs aren't what you usually see in the 2min.

Thanks, what about doomer?

No sacks but he got in on a tackle and was generating a good push even if he wasn't quite getting to the QB.. played like 3 drives.
