Glad that the Jets are finally forced to start a QB not named Mark Sanchez, for once.  Luckily for Geno, TB has a bad secondary, so this will be an ideal debut game for him.

Bad Secondary? Revis Island would like a word with you. When your done, Mark Barron would like to speak with you as well.

We don't know what Revis will be like post-ACL tear.

The referee in this Patriots/Giants game is in mid-season form. 2 back to back plays that favored the Patriots. Took away a clear Giants interception, and called a bogus pass interference penalty. Patriots just scored off that.

I know it's just preseason, but just saying.

Not sure if I should watch the bad calls that benefit the Patriots and get more angry today or get a few giggles and watch the local team against the Steelers...

Decisions, decisions...

Who broke their leg in this Giants/Patriots game?

RB Andre Brown. Same leg he broke last season.

Thank you. Ungood.

By the way everyone, this score in the Panthers/Steelers game is making my day better. Then again, it'd kind of have to...

Damn, NYG has been hit HARD by the Injury Bug, especially on offense.

Yeah that game and the Patriots/Giants game on NFL Network were my only choices. Guess that is the bad part of not living locally. I actually thought about going to the game wearing my Ravens stuff just to upset Steelers fans lol.

52 yard pass for a TD.

WHAT?! No...

Also, you clearly live closer to Charlotte than I do. It's a two and a half hour drive I think for me...

Yeah I'm only a short 30 minutes or so from Charlotte.

Yeah though it wasn't a 52 yard deep pass or anything, it was really a short throw that turned into a big gain thanks to the receiver.

Ah okay, yeah, that makes far more sense. He's got a strong arm, but we've seen his accuracy... so yeah, there's that...

Patriots may activate TE Rob Gronkowski from the PUP List on Saturday. He still may not see any game action until late September though.

I've forgotten the rules of the PUP list vs IR. I know you can designate one person from IR to come back later in the season, but isn't it that a player on the PUP list can only be activated after a certain number of weeks or something?

PUP keeps a guy inactive for 6 weeks.  After that, the team has three weeks to begin practicing with him, and three weeks after that to decide whether or not to play him or convert him to IR.  Also, a player can only be on the PUP list if they were initially put on PUP at the beginning of training camp and never taken off during the offseason.  IR, traditionally, means done for the season.  Last season, they made the rule that one player per team per season can be IR-designated to return.  That player can begin practice after 6 weeks inactive and activated for a game after 8 weeks.

The lights went out in San Diego before the start of half time lol. The 49ers must have some kind of mystical power to turn off stadium lights lol.

Tim Tebow actually completed a pass apparently.  I'd say the internet is about to explode, but I'm not sure how far them thurr satellites have penetrated the backwoods to rile up his misguided fans.

So Gronkowski could make the starting rotation in 3 weeks?
