What part of our team are you the most excited about?

I don't know if "excited" is the right word to use, but I am looking forward to seeing who will come on top in the wide receiver competition. I like Deonte Thompson and Tommy Streeter, but it will be interesting to see how things will unfold. I am in fact excited to see our defense. I feel like we've improved a lot since last year.

QBs might get too much attention, but I can't help myself, but hope, that Joe will manage to maintain his performance from the playoffs and prove doubter (especially the ones in the Ravens fanbase) wrong.  I supported the guy through some rough times on this messageboard.

Another part of the team, that I am excited about is the RB battle between Bernard and Ray. I think Pierce and Rice will push one another to new hights. This competition and Joe's post-SB confidence might finally push our offense into the top10.

Easily the LB corps. A hungry Suggs, new additions in Smith and Dumervil and a slew of young talent looking to carve out roles for themselves.

For me it's the pass rush

Canty and Jones occupying some of the blockers

Ngata going up the middle

Doom and Suggs on the edges.

It's going to be awesome!

Same, I think they're really going to help out the secondary by being extremely disruptive. A lot of fans around the league don't seem to understand the potential of having suggs and dummervil rushing from both sides.

QBs are going to :tombstone:

I don't know why but I feel one of the UDFA's is going to be a star this year. My hunch is it may be Omar Brown... no rationale to this notion, but just a gut instinct or an intuition if you will.

It depends. If Tandon Doss wins the no. 2 position, I'll be excited to watch the receivers. Torrey is going to have to be the true No. 1, without Anquan, without Pitta. It's going to be interesting.

If not, just watching Joe Flacco either continue his last 7 games with Caldwell (15 touchdowns, 1 interception) or play like he did his first 13 games with Cam Cameron (10 touchdowns, 9 interceptions).

the D front.

Its brutal and with so much flexibility. Might be the best front D since 2006.

I agree...to me, I am most hyped over our front seven. It is not only very talented, but so deep. For example, offenses will be relieved when they line up and see Ngata is taking a breather, only to have another 340 lb wrecking ball in Brandon Williams in his place.
Because of our depth and brutality, I think our defense is going to shine in the second half, every week. We will be fresh all day long while wearing out the offense, and that will really open up a can of worms for our opponents when they start taking chances later on in the game.

As a side note, I am also insanely hyped up to watch what Matt Elam does this year. Mark my words, he will be this season's DROY, and we will not miss Ed Reed at all, other than for sentimental reasons.

I have faith that Torrey can make that leap, however, I really do not think we will ask him to be "the guy".
He is a supreme deep threat. Anybody number of our guys can step up and be our move-the-chains guy, like Doss, our TE, our running game, or a combination of that...or all of the above. But Torrey is the premier deep threat in the league, and that is irreplaceable...so I think we'll see more of the same from Torrey, and the other guys will collectively step up

After watching practice yesterday, I have to now say the receiving corps has me excited. Jacoby looks ready and more focused on the catch. He put a move on J. Smith that left him standing still. Maybe there's an advantage to playing professional dancer for a few weeks. Thompson, Laquan, Mellette all looked very good.

Streeter, to me, still looks like a work in progress. Doss had a so, so day, but looks fit. Torrey can move his head around a lot easier!

Other than Tucker, I'm most excited about BAL's running game. Rice is always good money, Leach is back in business and Pierce is good enough to be a starter on several teams.
