Exactly how serious is a dislocated hip injury?

Pretty bad.  Imagine having your leg ripped out of its socket.  He could miss several regular season games.

That really sucks. Dislocated hip? Ugh. That really sucks. I'm not worried yet but I think we should be concerned. Pitta is one of Flacco's favorites. I didn't say pizza either.

Pitta was the one I expected to replace Boldin. Without him I'm concerned but this does mean that Dickson must step up.

I know Ozzie is the anti-panic kinda guy, but no pitta or boldin? I'm sorry but it may have to be our D carrying us again. Torrey isn't Larry Fitzgerald and we don't have a true number 2. Pitta was a security blanket. We don't have one anymore. We may have to be a running offense again.

To find a positive, it doesn't sound like it's a season-ender.  Hopefully he only misses a few weeks.

Extremely varying. It can be very severe or minor and common. It depends on whether or not there is nerve damage. I will say that the recovery and rehab will take about 8 weeks at the least. That would be a very quick recovery. It depends on how fast he recovers as a person. Everyone is different. I'd say he'll go on IR and probably be back sometime after our Bye.
Sorry. I had to correct that. I fixed the time table.

probably going to sign shiancoe since he's been watching practice and if i ain't mistaking they were talking to him about a deal in camp

It was like Ozzie could see the future and knew he needed Shiancoe before Pitta got injured.

I know there are rumors that he has a bad attitude, but we need to sign Brandon Lloyd too.Joe needs receiving threats.

This is terrible news, but a dislocated hip is a lot better than an ACL or Concussion IMO. Looking at 2-3 months without him, if were lucky.

Yeah that's what I keep hearing.  2-3 months seems to be what analysts and reporters are predicting.  He'll likely be the IR designated to return this year.

A concussion usually isnt as serious as 2-3 months and this injury is definitely not common but it doesnt seem like a season ender.  Now how good will he be?  who knows but hopefully he can play 8 regular season games and be himself by the end of the season heading into the playoffs

Nah I doubt he misses the season. At worst he goes on the IR designated to return. The question I have is if he had nerve damage.

lol. Any time the brain is damaged (and that's what happens with a concussion) you have serious problems. Even if he doesn't have issues now concussions are nothing to play around with as a football player. Look at Jahvid Best

And Ryan Swope.Hes a rookie that just retired before he even had the chance to hit the practice field because of concussions he had in college.

It depends. If there is ligament issues. If its just dislocated then he ill be a ok...if its more than that...yeah..this sport isn't kind.

I'd be more concerned on nerve damage but ligaments would be bad as well. Nerve damage could end his career.

He would certainly be a positive addition, and I've thought that all along.  However, if that doesn't happen soon, it might not be worth it.  We need to find some way to get somebody enough reps to replicate the chemistry Joe and Dennis had on the field.

Beginning to wonder if we should make a trade that involves a few picks and jacoby jones. We need an upgrade. I don't think pitta or most players can half way through the season after an injury play up to their potential.

We are not trading Jacoby Jones lol

Anyone notice the injuries are just to receivers? Ok, for the rest of training camp Torrey and our receiving core should wear red non contact shirts to save them for the season.
