It was hard to tell what Pitta was dealing with, whether it was lower or upper body. Not going to speculate at this point.

Pitta doesnt have the speed to beat the coverage. His body after the catch usually ends up in rough hits. Pitta has to find a way to avoid contact after catch. Easier said then done....

My heart dropped when I heard them mention Pitta's name right after they were talking about Maclin on NFL network.As some other people said,I hope its not a concussion or another serious injury.Hopefully him leaving on a cart was just a precautionary measure...

Not quite sure how to put this; but, the fact that Dennis Pitta had a towel over his face would imply (or, at least increase the chances that) this is most likely either a head or neck injury, right?

 

Not that a concussion or a potential one is something that can be taken lightly. However, I would much rather have that be the case than see Pitta have a season-ending injury because of this incident.

 

UPDATE: Dennis Pitta has a dislocated hip.
