Lets Give Props To Clayton

16 posts in this topic

He takes a lot of heat on the forums for lack of production. The passes he caught Sunday showed heart. He was covered on all of them and had to concentrate/fight for the grab. Of course the one hand grab was spectacular period. We really need this type of deep threat and I hope Joe and Mark are getting into a groove with each other.

Heart, drive, determination, hardwork. Clayton is a true Raven. Did you see how humble he is? He doesn't get that many TDs and all he did was flip the ball to the ref. When he did a flip in the endzone a week ago, I think that's the first time he's celebrated.

Mark Clayton definitely deserves recognition for his phenomonal play on sunday. I wanna know that he is a force, if he produces this sunday, then something lit a fire under his tail and he wants to play hard now. I know he was strong in college and now he showed some signs of being a legitimate receiving threat, but he needs to do it every game.

I think Joe just needed to develope some Confidence & Timing with him! He was dinged up a lot earlier in the year! I' m looking for some big, Consistent, things from him down the stretch!

Dont worry, the haters will be in here soon enough.
But in before them,
I had always protected him even when he wasn't producing like he has been the past 2 weeks. Hopefully he can become consistent that would be great and he may be able to become the deep threat that we could use.

Clayton definitely deserves respect for the hard work he's done on the football field and on the practice field. I only hope that his success vs the bengals will contribute to his success for the next 4+ games.

I was in Cincinnati on Sunday. Clayton had one of the best games a Raven receiver has had since I can remember. He was phenomenal. And the bad weather made it all the more exciting.

I don't get why people were "mad" to begin with. Flacco would go to his #1 receiver (mason) everytime because 1. thats the first option he checks and 2. because mason is such a good route runner that 90% he was open so flacco threw it to him. It wasn't Clayton's fault he wasn't targeted.... or flacco's fault.... falcco was just hitting his 1st option

I'm really happy that Clayton is starting to show that we didn't waste a 1st round pick on him. He had a pretty good year 2 years ago when we went 13-3.

The haters have already been on the board. On an earlier thread, one person posted that Clayton wasn;t worth 5 cents AND he/she made that post after Sundays game. Go figure. He is a great guy, very personable, no apparent ego trip and he contributes alot to the community. I think he is a great team player and an asset to the Ravens.

If Clayton can have one more good game in succession against the Skins I will believe he has truly turned the corner and will be thrilled.
