Old TE past his prime. This doesnt fill in the 'WR' need at all..if anything a depth signing behind pitta. Dickson has been always inconsistant/injured.

I wouldn't mind signing him. Better pass catcher then Furstenburg and similar in blocking. I think he'd be an upgrade at #3 TE, might even give Dickson a run for his money if he comes into camp in shape and ready to go. Liked this guy a lot when he was Favre's safety valve in Minny

I was thinking thinking this, too. He may just be a guest or possibly reached out to the Ravens to see if he could become a coaching assistant or something. I don't think he has much left as a player.

Beyond that tweet, Zrebiec is reporting that the Ravens are considering signing him and giving him a shot at the 3rd TE spot.  Nothing would be guaranteed.

This is interesting.  I would figure the Pats would be looking at this guy, as well as Dallas Clark.  I don't exactly know which one of the two I'd prefer, but I have a feeling Visanthe fits what we need maybe a little more than Dallas.  We don't really NEED either one, though.

Agreed.  It's not a move that I'd make if I was Ozzie, but there's a reason he's in that position and not me.  If he signs Shiancoe, I'm 100% on board with it.
