I don't see how this is a raven thing

You mean how this involves us? Its the whole season opener, rematch, title defense, tone setting game. It is huge if he is out but it seems we have covered everything anyway.

Come on now. How is this not important to the Ravens? After all we play them game 1 of the entire NFL calendar and this is the harbinger of confidence to a team. Imagine if the Ravens were to win with Flacco left relatively untouched? He would be able to torch the Broncos and that would do great things for his confidence for the rest of the season right? On the flip side, if he were constantly pressured, hurried and doesn't have a good game and we lose, it may hurt him the rest of the way.... either way the Broncos game is important for us to win.

Was today the universal day for suspensions or something?

I almost feel very comfortable knowing that the only Raven who was relegated to missed time is Jacoby Jones for not passing a conditioning test. If anything, that's more of a proactive measure and it could potentially have significant impact

Posted · Hidden by Grapple Raven, July 23, 2013 - Rumor · Report post

Someone on hear said they heard it was marijauna. One of the insiders on ESPN has heard marijauna and he has also hear some type of recreational drug

Thanks.

Manning showing his age.  Bronco's defense lacking a pro-bowl pass-rusher.  Bronco's run game will likely be almost non-existent.  What about the glove?  lol  They were over-rated last year and now with the "super-bowl or bust" mentality that Denver is talking...  What about schedule?  They probably have the easiest schedule I've seen this year.

Not sure if broncos are 'overrated'. They were clearly one of the best. It took us all we got to beat them @ mile high.

I wouldnt sleep on them just yet. It's going to be one tough match @ week1

How many Denver fans will use this as why they lost after we beat them?

It's clearly a conspiracy against the Broncos. Von says he did nothing wrong. Is it just a coincidence that their best defensive player is suspended for the game against the Ravens? Face it - the league wants them to lose. Just like they tricked their front office members into drinking and driving. Damn Goodell.

Who's Brain Braun? Is he the brother of Ryan Braun who wasn't able to make it in the MLB because he didn't take performance enhancing drugs?

I disagree, this isn't a Raven thing like I've said.

Ryan/brian, I could care less. I never heard of him before all of this came out about his vehement denial of using peds dragging an innocent mans reputation through the mud only to roll over as soon as more evidence came out. Similarly, I'm sure miller did "nothing wrong".

Oh of course, just a complete misunderstanding. Just ask the Seattle Seahawks ;)

My comment was funnier though  :dancingbanana:

I actually have to agree with this. Very clever.

Even the moonwalking banana is on point.

On a separate note, people are really salty that this thread is in Ravens Talk. That's really throwing me for a loop.

Hmmm. Player that changes the whole defense, frees others up to make plays. Demands a double team. Sounds. Exactly. Like Suggs, as I said. Our defense was obviously never the same w/o Suggs, but still plenty to dominate a good bengals team. All I'm saying is the game is not coming this Monday night. There is alot of time for Denver to plan.

This is true. However, if this was chess, they just lost their Queen.

Oh yeah just like Brian Cushing did no wrong either. Remember, Cushing was a fantastic LB before being suspended 4 games and getting caught, just thought to throw that out there.

Things like this always happen and some no-name or rookie steps up and gets like 4 sacks because the offensive line doesn't know who he is and didn't gameplan for him. Meanwhile that player has been focusing on the opener as his one time to shine and make a name for himself in the NFL...

so either way, I'd like us to be prepared.

And honestly, I'm more hoping Webb recovers and is healthy enough by game 1 so we can put him on Welker.

Jeffri Chadiha strikes again! In an article where he mentions how Miller's suspension won't doom the Broncos, he wrote this tired nonsense about our team:

For those who believe the Baltimore Ravens pose a substantial threat in the season opener because they are the defending Super Bowl champions, think again. That game will be played in Denver, and the Ravens won't be nearly as scary as they were at the end of last season. Baltimore is replacing several key leaders (Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Matt Birk and Anquan Boldin) and dependable playmakers (Paul Kruger, Dannell Ellerbe and Bernard Pollard). This team, one that nobody was hyping when last year's postseason began, has 9-7 written all over it.

Of course, the Ravens have never dealt with the loss of respected leaders and "dependable playmakers" over the past five seasons and perservered. Oh, wait...

Denver has quickly become my 2nd favorite team to beat (After the Steelers and right before the Patriots). But it's because of their fans more than anything. I used to like the Broncos and I respect the crap out of Peyton Manning. But last year and into this year their fans are seriously the most arrogant group I have ever seen. It's shocking to me actually. Even after this they are totally disregarding us in the season opener like they learned nothing from last year. This article just shows they're not the only ones.
