So it looks like Horus dropped all his players is there anyway we can explain this, maybe allow him to pick them all up again or what...I guess the thread title is making sense atleast

We were discussing this.  My thoughts were that if we left his players on waivers it would really affect the integrity of the league (whatever is left).  The playing field has to be leveled.  With Forte on the waiver wire (before we've even started the season) would essentially be like giving someone two first rounders.  

 

Now (on paper) we just need to overcome Crush's team.

I don't really know what horus wants.  He literally blows up his team, then he comes scampering back.  Actions ultimately speak louder than words and what he DID was dump his team into FA.  In the interim, I have returned his players to him.

Honestly, I have no problem with relinquishing Horus.  I can understand the bad trade, people make bad trades.  But the whole dropping your entire team thing is whack (especially from the Commish).  It would make the league unplayable due to the advantages and disadvantages it would create.  Players with higher waiver orders could add more top talent to their team. That isn't a league that sounds like fun or one that I would want to play in. 

 

This league has been anything but normal.  Wished I backed out when I had the chance.

Exactly.  horus has proven that he can't handle the responsibilities of Managing the League.

I think the problem is that their is a chain of events between Poe & Horus.  I agree that Poe should have left Floyd alone, but then again he felt slighted by having a late draft pick (custom order) so he was getting back at Horus.  This caused Horus to drop all of his players to get even at Poe.  Ofcourse Horus gave Poe the late draft pick probably because of the inability to move the draft date & time.  

 

We should turn this into a TV series.  Fantasy Investigations.

- i had pick one in the custom, but love no #13, so swapped it with who was there - Pu; as poe gained advantage by having the draft when he wanted and not accepting any of the other dates propossed (even if they had more votes at the time) i made the decision to give him the pick after me, so we both comish(s) pick last; he's 2nd spot was taken by the last in - Crush; also swapped you rmw10 with 5aiah to match your ID numbers from here (with the knowledge that you posted that you'd prefer to draft mid-round); slice got #3 and CARavensFan moved to a position i don't know anymore and CARavensFan is one of the guys i get along very-very well, same with Steelers who drafted late too if i remember correctly

Like rmw, Pu and others, I was very offended by my draft position. It would've been OK if the computer had randomly assigned it to me. The vote on the draft date should have had nothing to do with it; you need a majority to overthrow the incumbent and it was done at the last minute. I tried contacting you several times, but you went AWOL. I assumed you had to quit the league for some extraordinary circumstances. Anyway, I will do my best to steer the ship back in the right direction.

There are no hard feelings.  I understand the rationale behind your moves.  

 

But being the commish of a league, you have to be the center of sanity and make sure the playing field is as level as possible.  I know in my long-time money league that I commish, everyone trusts me to be the voice of reason and fairness.  No one wants to play out a league where they feel like they've gotten an unfair (non-random) advantage.

Yeah I mean I'm not disappointed with my team, but since hindsight is 20/20, I feel like my draft would have turned out much better if I stayed in the #5 slot.  Giving the random designation to some and changing others really destroyed the integrity of the league.  And like you said, everyone has different preferences.  You can't meet everyone's needs, so random is the only course of action.
