We already agreed upon a date and discussed it at length.  Besides, it would be a real inconsiderate move to change it less than a week away from when it's scheduled.  Some of our players aren't as active as others and would thus be blindsided.

(I'm going to fight you on this Poe, because I really want to make the draft and I think the Commish should be able to make his own draft as well, but don't take it personally,  I like you   :D ).

I'm Co-Commissioner with horus!  I discussed when we should have the Draft in the Invitation Thread and a couple of players have reaffirmed their desire for the current date since then.  Keep in mind it's the dog days of summer, so people like Irr are on vacation.  We don't want anyone to feel sucker-punched.

While I can make Sunday work my preference is to keep it at the same time on Saturday. I have another draft on the 25th at 5 so I wouldn't like to double up on two different sites.

If the specific time in Saturday is an issue for people can we move it to a different time of day?

I understand people dont want to change but this works better for me too. I will likely miss the draft on saturday unless it is moved two hours or so later...anyone know if the nfl mobile app lets you draft on your phone?

I don't believe so.  I think the only one that's ahead of the curve is Yahoo in that regards.  

 

So we have at least 3 potential teams that will miss the draft.

to be technically correct 3 teams can't make it (me, Pu and Dubs) and two said they can (you and CARavensFan); the other nine didn't say anything, but I'll be good and let it as it is... though I made it to two drafts already (latest being the yahoo that gabe's sorted out)

I haven't heard any rejections so far for Sunday.  I know Poe keeps talking about SAM on vacation.  But when he's back from his trip, I'm sure he'll be available.

According to Flaccopo, we are.  But while you are here, what date/time works best for you?  Saturday 8 pm or Sunday 6 pm (all times in EST).

Sunday would work best. I have a lot of downtime from work on that day so I would definitely be able to complete the whole draft.

I'm worried that people who have joined, don't even realize that there is a draft on Saturday night as well.  Then it'll be a bunch of auto-pilot teams.  

 

I can accept a Saturday night draft, hell I'm still thinking about going to Verizon and dropping $115 so that I can make this draft (ofcourse I plan on selling the jet pack on ebay next week).  But I'm worried about the level of participation.

I'm going to stick around.  But I'm going to make sure everyone knows about the draft date, and to at least set their pre-rankings. I've seen drafts where half the teams get auto-drafted and those people lose desire about playing their teams out.  We do have a good members list going on.
