Pete Carroll thinks so. USC is going to risk a timeout in each half in order to bring back a tradition where when USC and UCLA play they both wear their home jersey's.

As much as Pete Carroll and USC tries to argue that it's all for tradition and whatnot, I can still sense a little bit of arrogance/condescence on their part towards UCLA.

Think about it: tradition or no tradition, they're still saying that they'll willingly take the strategic blow dealt by the forfeit of two timeouts, and they're saying they'll still find a way to win regardless. No matter how you try to sugarcoat it, they're still basically saying they can beat UCLA with or without two timeouts.

Shame.

However, Rick Neuheisal is all for restoring the tradition of having both teams wear home jerseys. They've even requested this to the PAC-10 and NCAA so USC might not even lose their timeouts.

I think I heard they appealed to the governing body and will only lose one TO, and the other coach is forfeiting one.
