Yahoo Fantasy Football League

So there has been an unfortunately low amount of actual fantasy football discussion in this forum. That is probably partially my fault for starting the Franchise Draft, but I also am a big fan of Fantasy Football as well. Normally there are a few leagues that go on involving just board members, but so far no one has started one that I am aware of.

 

The past few years Awaken The Demon had a 16 player league in Yahoo with a format including IDP players that I really like. I'm not sure if he is running one again so I am planning on copying his format and doing my own.

 

So the basics:

 

-16 teams if possible (first come first serve and please be active because I hate teams that dont try)

 

- 3 IDP positions (DL, LB, DB)

 

- PPR

 

- I think Yahoo does default performance bonuses, which I am inclined to not use.

I'm interested but have never played with IDP before. How does that scoring work?

I'd be interested in depending on how things shake out, personally all my other leagues are on yahoo so keeping it there is great for me :)

Basically, you are awarded points for several categories. Tackles (solo) and PDs are 1 point each. Sacks, INTs, FFs I believe are 2. TDs are 6.

Can we make it 0.5 ppr. I also think IDP stats should be a little higher given that they aren't much of  factor otherwise (barring an incredible performance that week). Also are we doing a veto system for this, or will a GM actually get to run his team without 14 other GM's getting a say in running his team? Considering there is no money involved, don't really see a need for the veto system.

Im also in 

I think IDP is a significant factor, especially if you get the elite performers. At this weight they basically average 8 points a week which is substantial.

 

I like full PPR and since I am not going to use the bonuses it shouldnt get too out of control.

It's a lot of fun. Hopefully we can get 16 people to commit to it. I really enjoy deeper leagues as it is more of a challenge.

Agreed, I'm in another league that is 16 guys in 4 divisions, you start really digging deep into the waiver wire for guys lol

Yeah that's how it works.

 

You can also customize your own rankings so the autodraft will pick off them for you at least.

Yes, just at least make sure to set your pre-draft list before you can't make it.
