[News] The Caw: Ravens Nation Expanding West?

100 posts in this topic

I live n the San Diego area an in SoCal I know of at least three to four raven bars out here. The bars are really crowded an pumped up during game time. The raven fans make the other teams fans feel a certain way because we are like a family. Our fans dance an sing raven songs, an it feels like your in bmore when your at the bars. I also see a lot of new fans that are switching over to the ravens because they like our players an coaches. I love being a raven fan, there's nothing better...

I have lived in Utah all my life and I have been a die hard Ravens' fan my whole life! I know a few others here and I watch every game every Sunday yelling at the TV when Flacco does something I don't want him to do. I know all the players by heart and their numbers and I come on this site multiple times a day for news. I'm addicted, but it's ok. I love the Ravens and I will be sporting my #5 Flacco jersey at Mile High Stadium in September at the season opener! My first actual Ravens game because I live out west. I can't wait!

I can tell you Ravens Nation is deep in the heart of Cowboys Country. Most of us moved down here because the GM plant on Broening Hwy closed, but it seems that Dallas-Ft Worth has become the migratory ground of Baltimoreans. You can best believe that we are stirring things up down here because the fan base is really mixed up at the Arlington GM plant. The majority of the different bases are the Packers, Lions, Cowboys, Redskins, Raiders, Giants, Eagles, Ravens, Browns and Bengals. As you see, the AFC North runs this place, but the Ravens runs this house!

I live in St. Louis and there was nothing better than celebrating the victory over Denver with some fellow ravens fans out at bar! I had to watch the next two games at home because I hate patriot fans even in St. Louis and wanted to celebrate the superbowl victory in the confines of my own living room. But I can tell you that the ravens are well supported out here even if only by a few we try our best

I go to college in Savannah, GA. As I was walking through the student center during the winter, I was wearing my big, thick Ravens jacket that I had gotten as a Christmas gift. It has the ravens team logo on the front, and on the back, it has a HUGE birdie head right in the center. I was walking through, and had my headphones in, and someone stopped me and asked if he could get a picture of the back. Also, another guy is a huge fan, and if we run into each other if I'm wearing Ravens gear, he always acknowledges it. I even ran into a guy wearing a Ray Rice jersey. I love meeting new fans! GO RAVENS!

I live in Eugene Oregon. It surprises me how often I many people moved here from Baltimore. It makes me so happy to see Raven/Orioles fans around here. Also its fun mentioning it to every SF, and Denver fan I see. Well I can't wait for the season to start and start talking some(clean)trash to other die hard fans out there. GO RAVENS! I always will bleed purple for my team!

I was born in Baltimore. Move to Va. Beach, Va. in 69. Mostly Redskins, Cowboys and Steeler fans through the years. But I have seen a strong Ravens fan base growing for the past 5 yrs through out Tidewater! ROCK ON RAVENS!!

Representing from Justin Tucker country (Horns!) out in Austin Texas. There is at least one *active* Ravens bar downtown and about 40 people showed up in their purple for the Super Bowl.

I wish they would expand here in Central Ohio!!! I am trapped in a triangle of Browns, Bengals, and Steelers fans and feel very alone. haha But then again, it did make winning the SB all the better for me.

With no front tag required on your car in Delaware ,its easy to tell who youre for on Sunday down here!! This area has always been Philly Everything pretty much. But in the last couple of years and especially after last year the number of Ravens fans have exploded!! I see so many Ravens plates now its starting to make me feel more at home. We may be marching into the mountains, but our push to the ocean is ALMOST COMPLETE!!!

I retire on 12 July and soon as I sell my Pasadena home, I will be moving to San Antonio where I plan to convert as many Texas football fans as possible. If they like good football in the lone star state, there is nothing better than my Ravens, so come on aboard before the season starts cuz there is no band wagon jump ons after we whip Denver.

Go RAVENS

There are already a few of us working on that down here in San Antonio. Other than a few Cowboy's fans who are still upset about the way we closed Texas Stadium for them, most people give me compliments on my Ravens gear down here.

In Charleston SC there is a group of Ravens fans i think they call themselves the Holy City Ravens Fan Club or something close to that. They often meet in downtown Charleston for Sunday Ravens games at a local Ravens Bar! Ravens Nation is alive and growing.

We have a group that maxed out at around 300 or so last year for the Super Bowl in San Francisco and the Bay Area called the Ravens in the Fog. Unfortunately, we started getting a lot of local press coverage, which apparently resulted in some threats. That caused the huge Super Bowl party we had planned in the heart of enemy territory to be cancelled. We still managed a respectable 50 or so, mostly the core group members, in a different location in SF. Go Ravens!
