Bury Me Alive - We Are The Fallen

Have I lamented Amy Lee and Ben Moody's pissing contest before?  Assuming this is the sort of thing the second Evanescence album would have been, it's a shame she ran Ben Moody and a lot of other people out of the band.  It's clear he was the main lyrical and (at least) stylistic influence on the bands music up through their breakthrough commercial success.  It's a shame Lee wanted to go all artsy and follow up my favorite album of all time with The Open Door.  I could sing you every single song on Fallen from memory, I can name you just four from The Open Door without looking it up and could only give you (extremely small) bits and pieces from Lithium and Call Me When Your Sober.

I blame Amy Lee for destroying what should have been my favorite band, but I love her voice so much I could listen to her sing The Wheels on the Bus ad nauseum.

Lot of people around my parts hate her with a passion since they started in little rock

Was that because of the split? I can't bring myself to hate her because her voice is so entrancing to me.

I thought it was interesting she kinda went back to rock for the third album and actually came up with some good songs that are on par with the lesser tracks of the first album.

Because she supposedly is a complete *fill in the blank with any kind of common derogatory word* type of person

Coming from a ton of people around here that worked with them before they got big.. It supposedly only got worse once they blew up..

That doesn't surprise me. She isn't the first with that sort of transcendent talent to act that way.

It's all very Nightwish how she got replaced by someone far less talented.

Guys, please listen to my good friends band Foxing. They are probably the most talented band in St. Louis right now and their new album The Albatross just dropped. Here is their bandcamp page -http://foxingtheband.bandcamp.com/

I just saw them live for the first time last night and they played outstanding. "Rory" is probably my favorite on the album.

It's ironic that you're a pirate too, since that costs you millions a year in lost revenue. :P
