Webb snubbed in top cornerback list

4 posts in this topic

PFF listed the top 10 corners in the league and dissed our boy Webby. (https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/06/28/five-years-of-pff-grades-top-10-cornerbacks/)
Granted Webb has missed some time due to injuries but listing AFC North's Bungles Leon Hall, who Flacco and Smith burned in the first play of the season, and Denver's Champ Bailey who got beaten so many times by Flacco and Smith he was treated for third degree burns after the game, is a travesty. I doubt that Webb ever looks as bad in practice as Bailey did in that playoff game. Hard to believe there was an additional 3 or 4 long passes where Torrey had beat Champ that Flacco wasn't able to hook up with him. Sometimes I wonder whose agent is paying whom to get their guy on the list to increase his value because it makes no sense. If Flacco is supposed to be just average according to these same pundits, how can an average qb and an up and coming wr beat these superstars so often? Webb is a shut down corner when on the field which is obvious when you watch the games. No one is looking to throw his way and when they do, they are usually unsuccessful.

He had 1 season over the last 5 yrs,
The list is a rating based on past 5 years.
How
Exactly
Was
Webb
Snubbed

He still listed as second best run defender at the position

Yeah plus 2012 was only his fourth season. 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. 2013 will be Webb's fifth year.

Nothing to see here, /thread.
