Bust as a role player who can hit a 3 and play some defense at the 2 and 3 at the veteran minimum? No.

T'Wolves fans will always say he sucks because they expected him to be a franchise-changing player at 4th overall. The Lakers aren't expecting that much from him, he's just another role player.

 

A true bust is someone who can't even get on the floor, whether its due to injury or other issues (see: Greg Oden, Royce White, etc.) Johnson may not have been what everyone thought he would be when he was drafted, but at least he can still play a role for a team.

It all depends on what you want from him
If you want him to play the role of Shannon Brown did on the championship team in 2010 I don't think he can fill it
If you want him to play the role of devin Ebanks he fits in nicely

I believe that is exactly what he'll play for Lakers and we do need a role player like that too
