Hmm I'd have to really think if I wanted to do a legit list but I would probably put these guys above him or at least some of them even with him

A healthy rosé
Rondo
Irving
Tony parker
Westbrook
Steph curry has the potential to be right with him or above next year if he can stay healthy

A healthy Rose I agree, but that's a ?

Rondo, can't shoot.

Irving, has the potential, but he's not on Hardens level imo.

Parker, maybe, but will probably decline.

Westbrook, maybe if he continues to develop and comes back 100%

Steph, same issues, healthy, but if he stays healthy I agree, he's on his level.

Players are so much preference anyways, you are obviously not as high on Harden as I am.

More interested in hearing what teams you rank above them, since you have a hard time calling them more than a potential 5th seed.

Clippers
Warriors
Spurs
Grizzlies
Thunder

And Nuggets will have a good year just because that division is going to be terrible with the Wolves and the Jazz and possibly even blazers having another bad year

Parker just turned 31.. He isn't going to fall off a cliff or anything unless he gets injured
On this list, I feel Kyrie is the sure fire player I'd put over Harden... Kyrie has had nothing in Cleveland and is only 21

I'm the biggest Rondo hater there is but he makes up for his terrible shooting in so many other ways

Clippers will be a playoff team, but I don't think they will improve much. Warriors will be very good if Curry, Lee and Bogut stays healthy, but that's not exactly a given when you look at their history. I like the Iggy signing a lot. But they already had Thompson and Barnes, so we'll see how that works out. I like the Grizzlies since they are though defensive team with good low post players, but I would definetly put the Rockets on par with them now. I think you're underestimating the addition of a healthy and motivated Dwight and the development of the young Rocket players.

But anyways, it will be a very exciting season. And the West is stacked again. So this will be fun.

Oh great. Another erratic shooter. Just what they need ;)

Yeah fantastic, I think that they signed him for no other reason than he always seems to kill the Lakers when they play whatever team he's on and so they can finally say they are getting Young.

He's a strange case. He's got so much offensive talent, just hasn't been able to put it together other than short stretch in WAS.

So the Lakers officially waived Ron Artest.  They should've just bit the bullet, they were going to struggle enough with him on the team.

So Dumbtoni removes two of his best defenders.

That team is going to crash into the ground. They might have a lottery pick. Which they won't have the rights too.

He was as good as gone.

Perhaps the lakers want to make another move?

He was the only starter that was healthy for almost the entire year.

And he's old with a bad attitude who's a magnet for trouble.

Overrated.

You yourself stated that he was one of the 2 best defenders on the offensive-skewed team.

Yes, but he was OVERPAID. Especially at his age. Plus, his offensive game is limited. He has a solid 3 point jumper(not great) but that's about it.

Great defender, but way overpaid and not great on offense

LAL isn't exactly worried about $$$ at this point.  Not to mention, their 3 star players' contracts expire after next season.

He's only been in power for a couple months, so you can't blame him, anyway.  They got rid of Metta and Dwight, so they'll have more room.

Fortunately the 2014 pick is the one draft pick for the next 3-4 years that they have kept for themselves.

Looks like the LAL Train wreck will continue for some years to come.

It depends on the 2014 Free Agency and who they get in the 2014 Draft.
