Keep an eye out for the emerging Panthers and Colts.

I'm still not buying the Panthers, myself, but I am interested to see what they do this year. I am a big believe in the Colts, I just think they will take a slight step back because they are a young team and this year they get a much tough schedule than they did last year; remember they had the weak schedule to go with getting the No. 1 pick because they were so bad two years ago, this year they get a WIldcard schedule which will be tougher.

ANy thoughts on the Bucs?

I don't know what to think of them, they're defense will be better, Doug Martin should be good again and they're O-line will be healthy too. It comes down to Freeman and I'm not sure I'm a believer yet.

My thoughts exactly.

Still an extremely raw team. Mediocre D and ST. Have a lot of WC competition in MIA, CIN, PIT, HOU/IND and even SD.

I have both Pitt and Indy making it in. San Diego is a bottom 5 team. Only rivers keeps them in front of the raiders. Houston I say has a down yr due to many of their starters being injury prone. I have cincy just short in a wild card race. They fade in December again. Miami another bottom 5 team. They are severely flawed. Winning the offseason never works on the field.

ANy thoughts on the Bucs?

Should be a great battle for the division in that no team in that division should run away with anything.

Disclaimer: I always find a way to hate on the Falcons

ANy thoughts on the Bucs?

Personally I really like the bucs chancres. They have a strong offensive line as long as all their key players there can stay on the field together. They have all the offensive weapons you need in jackson, williams and martin.

Their defense should be easily the strongest in their division. Led by young budding stars in mccoy and david. If revis can play close to his shut down level their secondary instantly goes from botto 10 to top 10. Now their pass rush they are gambling that bowers can duplicate bennetts production there.

In my opinion they put it all together and become a dangerous playoff contender. Built to shut down the passing attacks in the south.

If Freeman improves his game, then definitely.

Here are my picks for the 2013 season.  These are just my opinion and are just for fun.

AFC East - New England Patriots.  (9-7)  This is the most unpredictable division out of the AFC.  We don't know about the patriots since they have lost a few key pieces.  I believe they will not be as good next  year.  There is also a great possibility someone else takes the crown.  This division is up for grabs.

AFC West - Denver Broncos.  (12-4)  I believe that Peyton will once again carry his team to the postseason.  The AFC west has two weak teams (Oakland and San Diego).  Kansas City is a dark horse and could also possibly take it.

AFC North - Baltimore Ravens.  (11-5)  I believe that Joe will continue to improve on his 2012 season.  Having Caldwell all year and a younger defense could make us even better than last year.

AFC South - Indianapolis Colts.  (10-6)  I think Luck will continue to improve on his rookie season.  If luck can make less mistakes, it should be a promising year for him.

Wildcard 1 - Cincinnati Bungles.  (10-4)  The Bungles look like they are a very complete team.  They have a lot of young talent and will give the defending champs a run for their money in the division.

Wildcard 2 - Houston Texans (9-7)  The Texans looked really good in the regular season last year.  However, they took a step back in the Playoffs.  Their chances depend on which Schaub shows up.

NFC

NFC East - Washington Redskins (11-5) RG3 has a lot of talent.  If he can stay healthy he has a good chance of taking the division.  Luckily  for him he won't have to face Haloti in the regular season.

NFC West- San Francisco 49ers (13-3)  The 49ers look like one of the best teams in the NFL right now.  I picked them last year to make the Super Bowl and I'll pick them again.  They need to watch out for the Seahawks though.

NFC North - Green Bay Packers (9-7)  I think the Packers take a slight step back this year but still take the division.  Kaepernick really exposed their defense and need to improve in order to compete for a championship.

NFC South - New Orleans Saints (11-5)  Here is my surprise.  With the return of Sean Payton, Drew Brees will take the team back to the playoffs after a disappointing 2012.  Their big question mark is their D.

Wildcard 1 - Seattle Seahawks - (12-4)  The Seahawks look promising.  I really like Russell Wilson.  Seahawks go 8-0 at home again.

Wildcard 2 - NY Giants - (10-6)  The Giants will sweep up their Superbowl hangover and Eli will return to himself.  The resigned Cruz which was one of their main concerns.

SF will make the playoffs again.

I don't know. They could easily revive the tradition of losing Super Bowl teams missing the playoffs. I like Seattle, St. Louis and possibly even Arizona better.

I think SF is severely overrated. Losing Crabtree is a big deal.

I entirely agree with this. When I do post my opinion on the NFC I might surprise some people. I think the Niners have a tough shot. I don't think it's guaranteed as people think.

Arizona better than San Fran?! WHAT! lol - maybe their fan base. How's that even a consideration? Seattle is debatable and the Rams look awfully promising.

Are people going crazy on here or what? The loss of Crabtree hurts but it's not devastating. The 49ers still have a great, talented young roster with a good coaching staff. I really don't get what you guys are seeing here? Tough division? Don't believe in Kaepernick? I don't think they'll be as good as the media expects them to be but c'mon now.

Seattle is entirely dependent on Russell Wilson. If he has a slump then I think that team will struggle hard. The smame goes for Colin. He could've benefited from teams being surprised by the read option. I actually like this Cardinals team. I think they could go far. The Rams I just don't know. Bradford is really a question mark. It's all on him. He has potentially good OL but I see the Rams still struggling this year

I'm personally not sold on Wilson or Kaepernick yet. They are very much question marks and the same goes for Bradford. I do like Palmer even as a rental. Don't forget that the cardinals looked great early last year. I think you're greatly underestimating them.

The Niners are good and talented but I'm just not sold. They're very weak at WR. Gore is getting older and RB do tend to fall of early. I like James a lot but he has had fumbling issues. Their secondary is in questing to an extent. Their division just got a lot better as well or at least potentially.

It's a tough division. I'm certain Seattle will make it (one of the most complete teams in the league), but SF does have a very talented team and I could see them going for a repeat as long as Kaepernick doesn't join that group of 2nd year slumpers.

Arizona has shown me no evidence of being anywhere near a decent team, and I shall always remember that 58-0 manhandling they received at the hands of the Seahawks.

Not underestimating the Cardinals, but for anyone to put them on the 49ers level, or even near their level, I think is ridiculous. You can point to some flaws and you have some good points (the bold is what I agree with the most) -- but their strengths are so strong that there should be no way the discussion whether they make the playoffs or not should be happening.

I'll happily eat crow later on, but there's no way I see them missing the playoffs unless more injuries occur. And I hate everything about the 49ers

Keep in mind I'm not sure what happens. u can see the Niners miss the playoffs then again I can see them win the group. There is such a small margin. Don't forget not long ago they were struggling. The only thing that's changed is the HC. Granted they have a new QB and I get that but they had success eyeglasses Smith.

The coaching is the biggest thing. That's honestly sometimes all you need. I'm a firm believer in that. I think that's the greatest margin of separation between most teams.

Why? Why make a statement like that without any further point. Seems pointless.

AZ isn't going anywhere with him.

Odd how it wasn't Wilson who failed against Atlanta in the playoffs. Pretty sure it was the defense that allow Atlanta to get into FG Range and win the game. Seattle is one of the more complete teams in the league so I don't know how you can say they are only successful with Wilson. General Manager John Schneider has done a great job building that team up since he arrived in 2010. They were a mess before he got there, and honestly take Hasselbeck in his prime with the current Seahawks team, they probably would have won multiple Super Bowls.

That's a ridiculous statement. He passed for over 4000 yards last year. He only had DHB and Moore to throw the ball. He had Criner but he wasn't ready and Streater but he's hardly a proven commodity. In addition he had an okay OL with an oft injured RB and a porous defense. Not sure what else you can expect.

Pete Caroll cost them the game with his atrocious decision-making.

AZ's O-line is even worse, with a revolving door of young QBs and only 1 true weapon at receiver, who languished last year due to the incompetence at QB.

I think the NFCW is so close that the best QB will win that division. It has nothing to do with the Seahawks being a bad team. I never said that. If you implied it then you implied incorrectly.

I just think that those four teams are extremely close and whichever QB steps up will take their team to the playoffs.

Floyd looks like he'll breakout. Housler has steadily been breaking out. They just drafted Jon Cooper and he looks fantastic. They have a decent center with a RT who looked really good at the end of the year. Potter even started to look good. In my personal opinion I think you're making an uninformed opinion on a team you don't seem to entirely understand.

Everyone knows AZ's O-line was the laughingstock of the league.  Even if they substantially improve this season, they'll still be ranked in the high teens at best.  Factor in all their chaos at RB and they will have a huge struggle moving down the field again.
