Ravens fans are the biggest babies of them all. Sad, but true. The whining in this board is epic sometimes.

You... I don't like you.

Yes, but you could easily listen to anything someone says and call it whining. The only qualification for whining is that there's sound coming out.

Literal definitions aside, you get the gist, man.

I agree. Teams like the Steelers and Pats can have the most abnoxious fans. Maybe winning spoils you. I hope we don't turn into that. The Packers are annoying, what with they're stupid cheese heads, but generally not dowright mean.

I heard a group of Pats took to Twitter to taunt Torrey about his dead brother. A friend of mine went to the AFC Championship there 2 years ago and got bear dumped on him. Just like Steelers fans, they proclaimed Ray guilty probably without a second thought. I wonder what they have to say about Hernandez. I agree that their bad group is bigger than most. Even the team, cheating, the Brady/Reed kick, etc. With the Steelers, the rivalry is built upon mutual respect as well as amnosity. But the difference with the Pats is that they are a classless organization that you have a hard time even respecting.

I can voach for this. We boo way to often, like at the Denver game. Say what you will, but you NEVER boo your own team.

Edit: Especially one that has given you such great football over the years.

I believe we've nearly cornered the market on feeling persecuted by sports media and the refs.

That said, why are we cheering Torrey on for this? Maybe it's just me, but insulting fanbases is something I expect from rookies, not emerging leaders.

As long as you can back it up (which last year we definitely did, and I expect more of the same this year), then who cares? We all know he's a hard worker... we all know he won't be getting into legal trouble anytime soon... and we all know that he doesn't showboat on the field, unlike what Chad Johnson used to do. Heck, to be honest, if this is our receiver diva that almost every team has, then that diva sure is ugly as heck.

Insulting a team's fanbase is immature. There really isn't any way around it. Torrey has been a model of maturity outside of this, but starting a fight with the Patriot's fans is stupid and unproductive. It isn't like we're about to play the Patriots and their fans have been trading trash talk with us. This came completely out of the blue, and the Patriots aren't even close to having the highest number of [profanity deleted]ty fans.

Again, who cares?? Did he get in trouble with the law? No. Did he showboat and get fined a massive amount of money for signing a football? Nope. Did he cuss the Patriots fans out?? Not quite. Does he back this talk up with hard work, as well as performance on the field, and charity causes off of it? Heck yes. Again, I say, who cares? As long as he can back it up (which he does), then who gives a care what he says? If he is our diva, then I say he sure is a heck of an ugly one.

Did you see what some of them were saying to him after that week 3 game when his brother died?

Obviously the some don't speak for the many, but I'd dislike them too after some of the things I saw them tweeting at him. And it takes a lot for me to dislike someone.

Oh my! Is he okay? He didn't die did he?

Lol. I couldn't resist. I do agree with what you said but I must admit I wish athletes would do less tweeting.

I have to agree here. I think it was unnecessary.

While I consider the Patriot fanbase to be the most insufferable in football, I don't think that is the culprit here. Twittiots have shown time and time again that there is no low they won't sink to.

I'm trying to figure out if it was random or something that was provoked.

If you spend any significant time around the mb for any team you will see that.
Our fanbase isn't the only ones that feel disrespected by the media or panic if the score is 3-0 early in the game.

Something like "Pittsburgh has to be the dirtiest,[expletive] place I've ever been too. Totally not an elite place to live". And then doesn't tweet again for months lol

I actually don't mind Pitt fans. I have lots of Steeler fan friends. There's a rivalry but I feel like there's a level of respect. There's NO respect between the Ravens/Pats though.

I'm not a fan of Niners fans after the Super Bowl. So much whining. But NE fans are still the worst by a longshot.

I am with you. Some Steelers fans are idiots, but so are some Ravens fans. Most just enjoy the rivalry, like us, and there is a grudging respect, for the most part. Pats fans are jackasses. And I do not want to even talk about 9ers or Broncos fans.

The problem with the "Ray thing" is that most were claiming he was a murderer. He was never charged or even considered to be a suspect in a murder of any sort. He was charged with obstruction. A far cry from murder.

All these Ray haters are just plain ignorant of the facts, and spouting off whatever the last knuckledhead spewed out. And even though the Florida legal system found no evidence of any further guilt by Ray, all those knunkleheads seem to think that, without any knowledge of the facts they know better.

right.... but how is that any different from the ben thing

they were false allegations....he was never charged but yet people(ravens fans) called him a [profanity deleted] and some still do

so you cant blame Steelers fans (im not one of them)  for doing the same thing that many ravens fans did and still do

PS. why is murderer not profanity but what ben was accused of(you can guess the word) profanity

The continual reports of this behavior make it harder to believe he was innocent . I don't think many things are worse then murder but if it's between dieing and killing someone, I'd gladly save my life. In no circumstance can rape be justified.
