Well, I am pretty much done with my power rankings. I am not sure that this last round will affect much, but I will wait until it is finished to make final adjustments.

all of a sudden have got this strange hunch that I won't win the big Clown(ey) prize in next year's draft anymore and will have to settle for the Teddy (over the) Bridgewater...

SAM wants me to post my power rankings so he can get into his analysis so I will do that now, with a little bit of my thoughts. Also I would like to explain my methodology here. I ranked each team according to 7 categories: Offensive Line, Offensive weapons, QB, Pass-Rush, Run-Defense, Pass-Defense, Age/Injury/Intangibles. Each Category was rated on a 1-10 scale and totaled. The highest total equals my #1 team.

So without further ado my Bottom 8:

#32. Sin City Mafia (Yatagarasu). While there are some strong pieces to this team (OL, secondary), overall this team graded relatively poorly in most categories. The Defense is young and inexperienced and there is no elite QB to hold the a realatively weak offensive attack together.

#31 Prophet's Privateers (SteelersProphet). This team has an excellent QB and is solid up front in run defense. However, the pass-rush is lackluster and the secondary will be exposed because of this. The offensive line is questionable and several key players are declining due to age/injury.

#30. San Diego Supersloths (Sizzlebshu). A very strong offensive line with excellent offensive weapons will be hindered by a young and ineffective QB. The defense is old and aside from JPP lacking in talent.

#29. Craig Sagers's Finalists for His 2014 NBA Closet Rejects Fashion Show (Easternshore97). This team is strong overall on defense, particularly in the pass-rush, but the offense is poor all around.

#28. Vandelay Industries (BALTIMOREFLACCO). This team is sunk by an atrocious Offensive Line and poor weapons to boot, despite having a very good QB. The defense is strong in the front 7 and should be able to apply pressure, but is lacking on the back-end.

#27. Team Irukandji (Blackbirds Rule). Excellent weapons on offense may be held back by a poor OL and an average QB. This team has a very good secondary, but the pass-rush is a concern.

#26. Amityville Aliens (PaRayDise). Good weapons on offense may not get the ball with Rivers throwing behind a poor OL. The defense is solid, especially, in the secondary but may struggle to stop the run and get after the QB.

#25. The Ravin' Reptars (CalvinSmoke). Good offense all-around, with some nice weapons, but the Defense will hold this team back. I like the run defense, but I see big problems in pass-coverage and applying pressure on opposing QBs.

Hmm, I have to disagree a bit on sin city at 32. As you state the o line is quite formidable. I would place Alex in the middle of the pack, average category, with dalton Schaub etc. Tate is well below average as a runner I agree there. I would say his wr group could be quite dangerous despite their youth.

On defense he has a nice front 7 with plenty of run stopping ability and pass rush. Anchored with Mathews. There is inexperience in the back end but with a strong pass rush they could be asked to do less. Over a 5 year span this team could rise to top ten but I would place it middle of the pack right now.

I disagree, but you are certainly free to voice your opinion. One of the biggest weaknesses on this team is the overall inexperience, both on defense and offense. Only 2 skill players on offense have been starters for an entire season, and one of those players is a FB. #2 and #3 WRs have never caught a pass and are not even projected to be anything more than depth on their current rosters. Alex Smith needs to be able to rely on a strong running game and he does not have that. Aside from Smith he also has no one to throw to.

The defense is more talented for sure, but once again relies on far too many rookies. It could be good in 5 years, but right away it will struggle mightily. Aside from Clay Matthews the pass-rush is lackluster, and the secondary is good but not great, once again relying on youth.

It is somewhat set up like a true expansion team and it is hard to argue the pass rush because it is dependent on rookies. But they are relatively safe being first round picks. But you are correct if none of them pan out the team will be poor. I just don't necessarily think that's likely.

I'm just wondering why you have pass rush and pass defense as two categories and why there's no consideration for special teams. (I happen to think my special teams is very good.)

Almost every rookie has a learning curve. Players that come in and play at a high level are extremely rare, especially on defense. The fact that 4 starters on D are rookies is a significant drawback IMO.

Sorry to spoil your fun, but the LT Martin was being destroyed by the 2nd string LE today.

Imagine what Wilkerson would do

this has been debated back and forth so ill just concede for the sake of getting past it

because I don't think its as huge a deal as some of you do......he is a below average tackle fine but one sub par piece does not a team break........my team is designed to take the pressure off the tackles because they aren't my teams strength.....teams have been good doing just that many times

Its not just one bad player though. There are a lot of question marks on your team, both on offense and defense. A lot of older players, a lot of players with injury histories.

ST goes into the intangibles, but I said from the beginning it was not a requirement in this draft. Many teams completely avoided ST and frankly they are not that important compared to the players that play 60% + of snaps.

Pass rush and pass coverage are two completely different things.

I know not everyone drafted ST, okay. I must've missed you saying ST was not a requirement, because it was my understanding that we did 25 rounds so it would be 22 starters  + 3 special teamers. But if you're factoring it in, then ok.

I know pass rush and coverage are different, but that means you're giving it twice the weight of run D. I don't know if I agree about that. Unless you just called it pass rush and "secondary", since secondary players also affect the run D.

I probably said it at least 10 times in the discussion.

It is essentially pass-rush and secondary. Although I did take into consideration LBs that are extremely proficient in coverage and DBs that are excellent against the run.

SAM signs

Hayley Williams and Paramore as TE official sponsors and models of Titus Young's Untaken Meds.

Hayley Williams will sing the national anthem at the home opener, and will have a charity concert at Titus Young's Rehab Center(my Team's stadium lol).

She will also give me exclusive rights to her music, and will contractually break up with her boyfriend.

I will then use the money that the rehab center makes to create a machine that will make me ten years older.

IT'S BRILLIANT!!!
