With my last pick, I wanted to take a pass rusher who will play in my sub-packages.  With the team I have now I can create a nickel defense which was my goal all along, to draft an extra CB and DL on defense.  

 

In the draft section of the board, many people were mocking use Quanterus Smith in the late rounds and I kept saying that he would be a day 2 pick.  It turns out I was wrong but, I think Smith is going to make everyone pay for skipping him.  He is reported to be doing very well in camp so far and is turning quite a few heads.

 

For me, Smith will be a situational pass rushing.  In nickel situations, my DL will be:

Smith - Michael Bennett - Geno Atkins - Junior Gallette

 

I think that is a very good pass rushing defensive line.

agree wholeheartedly on your assessment of Quanterus, seen quite a few reports myself; got two other players that can give me something similar to him, but at this moment i'm leaning to get some cover at a different position with my last pick (not ST though)

Thanks. I strongly considered an offensive skill player but decided to take a flier on Babin. He and Idonije are quality sub-package players to rotate in when Bunkley isn't needed.

Your team is definitely the youngest. There will probably be some growing pains for the first couple years. But in 3-5 yrs could be dangerous.
