What phone do you have, lol?

Back to football, Juice sounds like an exciting new player, though I still miss Leach.

Get the new Galaxy, assuming you aren't chained to a contract.

Back to BAL.  What's Bernard Pierce's contract situation?  He also played a pivotal role in the offense and will no doubt garner attention from teams after his breakout season.

Considering BP Oil was a rookie last year, I say we're in good hands. ;)

How long do rookie contracts last?  Just 1 season, right?

What does Dumervil have to do with this? We are discussing Leach and his important role on the BAL offense. He's been nothing but a boon for a team and it's a cheapskate thing to drop a FB, of all positions. And who's Juice?

Seriously? You just called the ravens cheapskates? No that is a team like the bengals that only spend the bare minimum every year. The ravens will spend this money on someone for sure. You clearly have no understanding of the finances of this team, or contracts, or even who is on the team, so maybe you should make yourself more informed before making this type of coment.

Not really.  Am I really expected to know Pierce's contract details by heart?

considering they are all the same length apart from first round picks who can have a fifth option, it's really not to difficult.

The Ravens have done nothing but cut.  Their highlight signee is Chris Canty.  FBs ask for very little money per season.  Leach should've been a shoo-in to re-sign, for the sake of offensive consistency, if nothing else.

Instead of beating a dead horse, why don't you give your thoughts on Leach?

what are you talking about? Their highlight signee is joe flacco who was the richest payer in the Nfl albeit briefly. They also signed dumervil to five years 35 odd million.

Leach had a cap number of 4.5 million, the next highest was 3 mil, Leron McClain, then two people in and around 2 2.5 mil, everyone is is under 2 mil for fullbacks. Leach was getting paid more than twice the average for a normal fullback. He was asked to take a pay cut, he refused he got cut. He only seen 22 snaps other Super Bowl, he wasn't worth anything close to what he was getting here based on a per snap basis.

ive gave it many times, read my other post above, he was overpaid and I thought he would be cut months ago to help resign ellerbe or someone for example

Canty, Huff, Spears, Dumervil, Smith, etc etc...

Cutting Leach saved them $3M against the salary cap.

I meant signees from different teams, obviously.  And I think Canty will give more for the Ravens than Dumervil, who isn't quite what he used to be.

Do you even know resign flacco and signed dumervil, canty, spears, huff, smith, re signed McKinnie, paid all our draft picks, recently paid ray. Rice massive money, made Suggs and I think ngata the reichest. Players at the time At their positions, paid Webb big bucks etc etc?

We have brought in a plethora of coaches, Steve spag, Castillo, had Caldwell sitting behind cam, are paying Eric decosta more money than most GMs in the league make?

We are not cheap in anyway shape or form. Would love you to try explaining that one to our owner.

I don't think Dumervil is going to be the savior some people think he is.  Canty is pretty reliable, however.

I just don't think all these supporting players leaving at once is a good idea.

well since you were talking about money, canty doesn't compare to dumervil, and how is dumervil not what he used to be, because he had one bad game against us in the playoffs?

He had 12 sacks last year, 13 the year before, missed 2010 and had 17 the year before that. That's 42 sacks in the last three years he's been on the field, name me one player that has come close to that and I think you will find they are all elite pass rushers in this league.

17 sacks the last time he played 34 olb

you have a cap number of something like 123 mil. Generally every players cap number increases year on year, so turnover is one thing that is guaranteed, when you actually pay your best players.

We build our team around the elite players we have, joe rice, ed reed, Suggs, ngata, ray Lewis, Ogden, yanda etc etc. we pay them, generally making them the richest at their positions at that time, and then we let most other people hit free agency with a n offer on the table and if hey get more, see ya. We find someone cheaper and that will produce just as well, see smith compare to. Ellerbe, see dumervil compared to Kruger, see huff compared to reed. All three of the people we signed got paid less tha their respective counterpart that left, and I'd bet any money all three will have a better year on the field.

Leach obviously isn't Reggie Bush, but he was pretty nifty at facilitating plays with his blocking.
