Madden 25

Strangest glitch today, one of my receivers switched teams for one game with a Steelers lineman so I had a guy in black and gold but was on my team and deity chart.

The game still plays great despite deep balls getting thrown short. Minor things annoy me this time, like not being able to put TEs on my franchise wide receiver depth chart (although you can do that in the actual individual games, I think I might report this one to EA).

David Reed is a complete monster in Madden, and I'd feel guilty if I kept him on my roster for franchise. He's just dirty.

Wish the load times were reduced between menus/screens. Offense seems even easier to score this year when compared to last years.

I haven't encountered any problems with mine on Xbox. It gets locked into a perpetual loading cycle sometimes when I go into the scouting tab if franchise mode, but I'm guessing that has more to do with it trying to stay connected to EA's servers. I have heard about some issues on the PS3 though.

I'm tentatively calling Pass Balanced my playbook for this game. I used Shanahan's last year but with all the QB run stuff this year it doesn't fit my play style, and the Ravens book has a lot of weird overload stuff I don't like. I wasn't overly impressed by the Texans book, which was my go to in older Maddens, and I didn't like Green Bay's this test year either. New England does have a nice one this year though. I'm still experimenting though, and my deep ball is working much better after I signed Demaryius Thomas.

There seems to be a rather low number of players with high development ratings this year, but maybe they intended to do that to counter all the experience you get via practicing. Still it was surprising to see Dez Bryant rated as average. Some teams were more disrespected than ours though, Eugene Monroe is incredibly underrated.

I think he sucks, but if he has Superstar Development I'm definitely trading for him, since he shouldn't be overly difficult to get (down the depth chart, not a highly drafted guy).

Had no problem playing the game until today. I even played it last night and I went to play it today and I get a disc read error. Now it won't play the game anymore. I got as far as the EA logo before the menu screen but it froze at that point. Anyone else on the PS3 have this issue?

If you patched it try deleting the patch. There have been some issues reported on PS3 this year.

Zone coverage is kind of broken. I'm having a lot of problems with zone, but maybe my backs just suck.

I did get the patch, but it was working fine with the patch. Guess I'll have to wait for them to patch the game again.

I'm having a problem with all coverage, but I'm not particularly gifted at defense.  Of course I am running a Hybrid Multiple front when I'm really a base nickel person, but it messes with player ratings a lot when you change their positions.  I'm pretty sure Elvis Dumervil should be rated higher than 74 as a DE when that's his more natural position.  

 

On another note, QBs seem to be incredibly accurate in this game.

 

JO try deleting the patch you downloaded and see if that will let you play.  I've read that fixed things for some PS3 users.

Confirmed.  I just did a fantasy draft via connected mode offline (career coach).  They don't give you much time to make your pick.  You have to move fast and know what you're missing and the game gets laggy which kills seconds as well.  

 

I was surprised that I was able to do a draft.  I haven't followed the news closely, but last I heard there was going to be a Fantasy draft.

Glad they brought franchise back. It's going to take some time getting used to the new controls but once I do, it should be a lot better.

I dunno how to do it on PS3, you might have to delete your saved data for the game.

I did not.  If you pause the draft can you still look through the players or does it lock down?

 

The time they give you is insane.  I thought 1:30 was bad, but then they cut id down to a minute and then 45 seconds.
