Madden 25

I will give them this, the OL AI seemed to be much better.  I was actually getting ok pass protection and some holes to run through.

That new running back mechanic seems like it's going to slow things down, but I'll have to play with it more to pass further judgment.  I didn't mind the right stick as the special move button though, I thought that worked rather well.  That was something they didn't need to mess with.

93, better than Rodgers at 92 (I have no idea why he's so low). And he TEARS the 9ers defense up, atleast when I play.

Indeed he did, I ended up putting Tyrod in after the first quarter and he went for 256 yards for 1 TD with 2 rushing TD's on 77 yards rushing. I think the game still needs touch up lol.

Honestly the running back mechanic I like the Dline one I am still getting used too they needed something to showcase those moves as well since they uped them.   I noticed canty and williams seem to pig linemen ,  I had 4 guys on williams at one point

Well that's kinda depressing.  I haven't played Madden in couple years and I was gonna pick this one up.  Backtrack time?

Here's the thing, what was the last Madden you played? See I skipped on Madden 13 and I have played Madden 12 the past couple years with updated rosters. While yes many people out there who play the demo and bought Madden 13 are saying, it's the same thing, it's Madden 13.5, etc. For me, maybe it was just because I didn't purchase Madden 13 but when I played the demo I had fun and was enjoying the game.

I think personally the fact I skipped a game helped because everything feels new to me, and it just depends on how you feel personally. Some people may like the game, like I do but others may say they don't like it. Play the demo and see for your self on if you want to get the game or not.

I bought 12 but I didn't play it much and traded it in for the standard $2.99 at GameSuck.  So the one I really remember playing is 11.  Thanks for the input.  I'll load up the demo tonight.

11 was my favorite iteration of the franchise. It plays way better than 13. Maybe 25 can be good I don't know. I like the team building aspect the most anyway and while the new scouting system was a step toward more immersion it doesn't work the way I think it should.

Yeah, what's this about Franchise mode being gone?  Is that still going on?

They're still pushing this stupid connected careers crap, but you can be an owner now so it's the same as old franchise.  I'm glad it's back in, the most satisfying part of Madden 11 was firing Cam Cameron.

I did the same thing and I completely agree with everything you said! I like it because it's new and refreshing to me.

Hah.  Firing Cam is ideal, for sure.  But strangely, if the "BAL-Harbaugh" playbook is actually Cam's playbook, I kinda liked it.  It was one of the few that had the Unbalanced I-formation (which I believe we should still use in real life), and the Unbalanced Shotgun formation (my fav, though technically illegal).

I just had a physical defensive battle. 49ers led the entire game 6-0. I went 90 yards on them in the 4th quarter, got down to the 1 yard line. Gave the ball to Juice on a FB Dive and he ran it in for the game winning touchdown. Somehow, the GMC Never Say Never Moment wasn't the game winning TD, it was the Tucker Extra Point! I guess I can understand it since if he missed it the game would have been tied but it still should have been the TD.

Won 7-6. Also, it may be just me but when I had Cody in at NT, I couldn't get any pressure at all, I switched out and put Brandon Williams in and I made the 49ers offense work for it.

Tucker's leg in the demo is amazing. I'm getting touchbacks at half strength.

And Pitta is apparently made of wet paper towels. In two games as the Ravens so far, he's suffered a torn pectoral, some form of hamstring injury, and a broken jaw.

I put some more time into it and I like it better than 13.  The differences are subtle, but the engine feels more stable overall.  I'll definitely look at some others, but the Ravens playbook might be my choice for the first time ever since it seems like it has a good variety of formations and plays.  I think this is the year I focus on getting defense down since that's always been the weak point of my game.

Are we going to be allowed to actually edit players in franchise this year?  It always bothered me in 13 that I couldn't change guards to tackles/vice-versa and move Suggs to DE from OLB since I run the 4-3.  Of course they later enabled numbers editing and changing 'sides' of the position, but the numbers thing was broken and you had to manually check that you didn't have duplicates and people wound up with the wrong numbers (like LBs with 6).

I scored late to send a game to OT.  2nd play in, Gore busts one 70 yards for the score.

I was in a base 4-3, without any blitzes.  Not sure how the hell it happened.....

Then I remembered......I stink at Madden.     LOL

Oh yea, Pitta got hurt for me too.  Anyone check his injury rating?  Must be a single digit number.....

I thought the Demo was pretty good. I didn't play last years madden 13, but the graphics and physics are definitely a step up from the last one I owned. Everything else is pretty much the same, but it is just a football game. One thing I really noticed was how much more real the players look, it looks like they actually have skin and definition.

I guess I'm just bitter that I can't get PA Power O to be that incredibly reliable play for me that it used to be.  Such a simple read usually, and either the TE or the deep receiver will be open, but I can't get that ball to go over the linebacker the way I want it to anymore.

Hopefully the constant freezing issues and lockups are fixed. I haven't touched Madden 13 in a few months, since it would look up every time I made adjustments to the depth chart in Connected Careers. I enjoyed scouting but thought it can be a little tedious and wished I could scout multiple players at once
