Back to the topic.

I love the rumblings of a QB controversy in D.C. although I don't understand why. I find it amusing that Zorn is defending his QB:
Predictably, Coach Jim Zorn spent a good deal of his press conference fielding questions about Campbell, including one from a reporter who asked if a quarterback change was in order. Zorn is tuning out the noise. He knows Campbell isn't perfect - Zorn called the passer's performance against the Giants "very average" - but the problems run much deeper than the one position that draws the most attention (judging by talk radio and my inbox today).
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsi...ml?nav=rss_blog

So my question is, if we hold Cambell to a 10.0 QB rating and two turnovers in the first half. Is there a outside chance that we could see the backup in the second half again? Perhaps Colt Brennan. We seem to have a knack of making QBs look bad this year. Palmer, Anderson, Rothlisberger, McNabb.

I think the Ravens come out with a win. I think the Ravens shut down Portis and hold the passing game enough so that we can pull out the win. I predict the defense will get at least 1int if not 2ints.

Score prediction at this moment.... 24-17 RAVENS!

Sure, it could happen. Just look at Andy Reid's decision to bench McNabb for the second half. Anything is possible

The Ravens got hot right at the right time, they are on the upswing in almost every aspect of the game. The Skins on the other hand are cold and on the down swing. I have a feeling that this game is not even gonna be close. Portis should be a non factor, and I think we should be able to run farely well against them. McGehee is well rested and the defense well they are what they always are. The Skins secondary is good, so Flacco needs to be extra cautious when going down field. My guess is Ravens 24 -10. B)

Everybody is saying we are red hot, with one bump in the last couple months against the Giants. But that is understandable. I was listening to ESPN radio 980 (D.C) and they all thought the Redskins didn't have a chance against the Ravens, which really surprised me. A few weeks ago I remember the same guys going through the Skins remaining schedule and notching "an easy" win against the Ravens.

We are on the upswing in perfect time. I hope we carry it into the Steelers game.
Who cares if people say that? How many guys do we have on the IR? No way anyone can use that excuse against us when half our team is on the IR...besides, a win is a win is a win; we don't get bonus points for beating them when all their starters are healthy.
Yeah nevermind your right. We should wish injuries on people...because we have them. Real CLASSSY

Boy am I glad we don't have people on our team that say stuff like that to the news media. I can see it now out of Ray Lewis' mouth:
" Yeah we do no have much to worry about since our prayers have been answered and Clinton portis my felllow Miami alum is hurt and will not be playing"

I wonder why we have so many injuries...

DC has some really strange sportstalk personalities. It seems like if you don't criticize the Redskins you're considered a "homer," but if you do so, you're considered "objective." I can't stand Andy Pollin, because he comes across as extremely anti-Redskins. Kevin Sheehan was saying that the Redskins "weren't close to being a playoff team" after week one. (Not that they deserved to be labeled a playoff team after that performance, but it was only one game.) While they're struggling now, they're right in the middle of the playoff race. Pollin criticizes the Redskins for something on the post-game show every week...even in games they've won. It would just be nice if these guys weren't afraid to be positive for once.

I was just reading the game day preview on Redskins.com , I didn't realize how many of our coaches/staff have ties to the Redskins Org.
FAMILIAR FACES ON THE RAVENS

Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was the quarterbacks coach for the Redskins from 1994-96. He helped develop the skills of quarterbacks Trent Green and Gus Frerotte during his tenure in Washington.

Quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson was with the Redskins from 2001-03, serving as running backs coach from 2001-02 and offensive coordinator-running backs coach in 2003.

Secondary coach Mark Carrier played defensive back for the Redskins in 2000.

Assistant strength and conditioning coach John "Mother" Dunn served as head strength and conditioning coach for the Redskins from 2004-05.

Director of college scouting Eric DeCosta had his first NFL experience with a 1995 internship with the Redskins
PuRock,

I don't see how that would help us for this game, unless that's not what your actually implying?
No, I was not implying that it would help us win. Most of these guys are too far removed from the Redskins Org. I just found it interesting. I never knew that Cam Cameron was their quarterback coach w/ Trent Green.

Ok, yeah, I was thinking the same thing. They're too far removed from the team now. Just checkin.

What are you talking about? I never wished injury on anyone. I stated a fact, which is that we have more players on IR than anyone else, so no one can use the excuse that they lost to us because X, Y or Z didn't play. I don't know how you got the impression I was wishing harm on anyone out of that.

Well the Thursday's injury reports have come out.
http://www.baltimoreravens.com/People/Play...ury_Report.aspx

McGahee was added to the list , and did not practice due to an illness. Mason was limited in practice yesterday and did not practice at all today.

The Redskins list shortened from 12 to 8. But many starters still have yet to practice this week.
are players automatically listed as doubtful if they do not practice?
Maybe that's how they tell whether a player is listed as questionable, doubtul or probable. Depending upon their participation in practice. I never really thought of it that way. I think on the Ravens site, the doubtful column is only used during gameday.
