The perfect nickname:

Pretty sure Joe Cool was established in his rookie year, 5 years ago...

LMAO
Was thinking the same thing.
I wonder if we should make a nickname for Suggs while we are at it? :P

-3 for J Flaccalicious?

Guess you guys don't live in Baltimore. There is a Pizza Hut ad with Joe in it where they want to change the name from Flacco's favorites and that is one of the suggestions lol

Forget that some of you aren't from around here.

Haha, thanks for the explanation on that one.  I'm originally from Baltimore, but haven't lived there since 2006, so I'm out of touch :)

"The F-Bomber" is much more catchy than "Joe F-Bomb."

The F-Bomber.

This is the first one I like!!!

I still think the "Joe Cool" name is the best. It fits his on the field demeanor to a tee. Besides, the picture of Snoopy in a #5 jersey, throwing the football, helps get the next generation's interest.

Having seen Joe Flacco and his exceptionally unique character and behavior through the years, how cool and unflappable he is, how unfazed by critics he is, and how courageous he is and the sense of self-belief he has - this is the only name that symbolizes everything Joe Flacco is and has become:

Joe Big Easy!!!!

Think about the name in context of Joe Flacco and you will all agree that this nick name symbolizes everything about Joe and his nature! He is big, is easy going and a stud QB!

I heard a team mate at Delaware refer to him as Joe "Bring out the Laser Flak Attack" Flacco when introducing the team during a game his senior year, which has remained a favorite of mine because of how ludicrously overlong it was. Joe Cool is the established favorite, but the Ravens fans I know out here in Indiana like to use the name January Joe as a contrast with Peyton Manning who is so unsuccessful in that month.

I love that. I'm going to have to remember that one.

Lol my friends and I have jokingly nicknamed him "Wolverine" because he takes a pounding but never seems to get hurt and he's like an outcast in the nfl. Lol.

Or 'Zook? Short for Bazooka Joe. Nothing better than a 1-syllable nickname (except for a 2-syllable nickname that rhymes of course)

I do like Wolverine though...or maybe "The Wolverine".

How about "Matty Ice"?

lol!

Whatever you call him, just make sure you add Superbowl MVP at the end of it. Personally like

THE MIGHTY Joe Flacco

Sounds like a Boss Superhero. Straight like dat!

I've been hearing people call him Joe "Cool". that name has stuck with me ever since I first heard it due in large part to his overall....... calm steady nature .

Don't know if this was mentioned, but Ray Lewis dubbed Joe as "The General".

Not sure if the other Ravens have taken to calling him that--maybe they do, but only during the playoffs?

I think ultimately, Joe Cool (even though it's also Montana's nickname) is the one that will stick.

Hey man I just thought of it. Why not call him Joe 'Boom Boom' Flacco from now on? He has a cannon of an arm and doesn't make a noise till he fires those cannons!
