San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick getting too much love from the media

I dunno I am kinda getting sick of RG III 's hype as well.

i like rg3 and i think he deserves most of the hype, sure hes not rookie of the year good, andrew luck and russell wilson had much better seasons. but rg3 is respectable, hes a class act, and the difference between him and kaepernick is that he can make all the pro throws, at least for the most part, he doesnt have a arm like peyton in 06, but he can do more than run and javelin-toss the ball right to whatever receiver is WIDE open due to the play action. yeah rg3 benefits from the pistol, but he actually understands defenses, he knows where to throw it, and he cant put some touch and accuracy on the ball unlike kaepernick. rg3 is a legit baller, and honestly i was a little upset when he got hurt, always sucks to see a class act rookie have his future put in jeopardy.

I'm tired of the hype too but that's not Griffin's fault. Unlike Kaepernick he seems content to let his play on the field do his talking and comes across as well spoken and intelligent, which I can always respect.

Maybe "hype" was not the correct choice of words.

I am seeing news articles on his wedding, his new house, his new shoes, what he had for lunch, what kind of gas he puts in his car, and so on.  I know a LOT of skins fans and most of them really do think he is Jesus Christ.

as someone who lives with a skins fan, i agree, but we arent ones to judge because we saw joe in the same light when he was a rookie, maybe we didnt talk about how joe is going to change the game or anything, but we all saw him as the savior of the human race just because we finally had a franchise qb. but corvus said it perfectly, its not his fault, rg3 really is a very humble guy, who just happens to enjoy being on camera and making a fun time out of it, and theres nothing wrong with that, the media is whats giving everyone a sour taste in their mouth over him

I don't remember anyone including the media.... feeling the same way about Joe. I personally don't like the kid. It stems from the post game presser after playing us where he said Ngata hit him late and that's why his knee was tore up... Not because he wouldn't go out of bonds... or because he should have slid sooner... but because Ngata hit him.

Wow just watched that. He said he got hit while he was already down which is a complete lie.

Getting hit by Nagata can be a mind altering experience.

I don't blame him for being confused.

the media didnt, and i didnt say they did, RAVENS FANS felt that way about joe, and if you say otherwise youre insane, because we finally drafted a successful qb we were bragging left and light and putting him on the pedestal, just like any fan would do if their team drafts a legitimate franchise qb

Exactly... I brought it up before and people said they didn't believe it. I couldn't find the link. Glad you were able to... This tells me he's not accountable for his reckless actions.

No... you're insane.. we had people calling for Troy Smith.. Mark Bulger... insert name here . Joe wasn't put on a pedestal at all. IMO he was falsely chastised by a large portion of our fan base.

i think you're insane because i dont know a single person who complained about flacco his rookie year, yeah people were saying troy smith shouldve been the starter because he lost his job originally due to some unfair circumstances, but he never got the chance to start again for good reason. i dont believe he was chastised until later in his career when everyone thought it was time for him to "take the next step" and he couldnt seem to do it. i guess its agree to disagree here but as a rookie and for the most part of his 2nd year(before he fell off at the end of the season due to a hip injury) everything was all good in ravens nation because we finally found a qb. and btw were talking about rookie year here, marc bulger wasnt here in joes rookie year, matter of fact he was signed in 2010, so if im not mistaken thats joes 3rd season. and people werent calling for troy smith in joes rookie year, we smashed the bengals in week 1 and its been joes world since. it wasnt until around year 3 when ravens nation started to constantly chastise him for any little mistake he made, but prior to that, everyone was on his bandwagon

People were calling for Troy Smith Joes rookie season after the Colts game-- he looked awful threw 3 ints in a game where the Ravens turned over the ball 5 times, glad coach stuck with Joe lol I think he could rescue kittens, puppies and babies from a flood , have a perfect season and would still be hated on along with the Ravens. Being a Ravens fan is not for the weak hearted.

This! To compare the fanfare surrounding RGKnee and Flacco in their respecte rookie seasons is an absolute laugher. Griffin walked from Baylor to DC by water. Fans in DC would have sworn Griffin won 4 Super Bowls by week 6. I get what you're saying about some fans being really excited but the comparison isn't even close . Sit back, think about last season.. look at Joes rookie year... now back to RGIii. The hype in these two cases are far from 38 miles apart.. By the way , for we beat Cincy by 7 in Joes debut.. Hardly smashing anyone.

I just don't like Colin Kaepernick; I was used to like 49ers team since Harbaugh takes over, but after how much Jim and the rest of the team whined about being the SB losers, I crossed them off my favorite list.

40whiners don't just get that name for no reasons....

I can't wait Seattle are going to crush them.....

I agree 100%

Are you kidding me? Anyone who isn't an idiot. Revis trademarked Revis Island. Tebow trademarked tebowing. I mean seriously, if there is a chance to make money by trademarking something you do it. That's not self-centered, that's just good business sense.

Yeah, but Revis Island is just a cute nickname. Tebowing is giving thanks to God. Not at all the same thing as kissing yourself - how egotistical can a guy get?

True that. Listening to Kaep speak, he comes across as a total moron.

The news outlets i read and watch has RGIII getting alot more press.
I really ignore it because when I search for important stuff on kaepernick or RGIII they both seem to have great work ethics
In regards to RGIII I think he is in a spot where the media will continue to build him up and will subsequently be the ones salivating at any attempt to being him down.good news is that atleast there's less and less on a certain qb who can't throw and more in qbs who seem to be all around good players and teammates

...ever heard the the saying " No man's an island." Revis apparently hasn't considering he likely bought one with all the money he got.
