Anyone heard news of Asa Jackson?

I heard that he was penalized by the team this year some small amount of money for his suspension last year. I'm sure Thompson will be following him with the penalty.

It's too early to really hear anything.  Training camp is when news about a player becomes more legitimate.

True. You don't want to hear anything right now. Usually when you hear stuff now, it's related to injuries and stuff. Lol.

Either that or a overblown report on how great a player looks in shorts.

Harbaugh's

Ellerbe 2.0 (for the record I'm aware of the fact they play different positions I'm referencing the fact that Ellerbe started in the dog house then blew up just in time to bail on us....can never be too clear around here.)

If this means he's also takes his talents to south beach too.....

I think Asa's lack of involvement last year was more on the 4 game suspension and the fact that he was a somewhat raw talent rather than being in the proverbial "doghouse." Even though he was a 4 year starter, it was at a much smaller program and he still has a lot to learn about being an NFL cornerback. With a year under his belt and the knowledge now of what it takes to be a pro, I think we see more of him this year, and that's my hope as I predicted him in that other thread as being an under the radar guy to help us at returner with Jacoby possibly more involved in the offense.

Ellerbe played at Georgia, not exactly Cal Poly, and did things we all actually saw that put him in Harbs' doghouse (I don't think it was neccessarily fair, but at least we saw why it happened). Any speculation as to why Asa is in the doghouse is just that, because we've not seen him on the field enough to know why he may or may not be there. I stand by my opinion that it was more because he was
a small school prospect who needed to learn the way the league works with the combination of the suspension. David Reed has been suspended but his new contract and playing time towards the end of last year indicate he isn't in the doghouse, so why would Asa's suspension merit that?

I thought Chris McAlister built Harbaugh's doghouse?

Some of the beat writer at BR.com must read these boards from time to time.

Asa was at a Red Cross Fundraiser for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado, so he's around Baltimore at least. That would make me assume he was most likely in town for OTAs, minicamps, workouts, etc.

Additionally I'm glad that he is spending time with guys like Graham and Huff in the secondary to help he mature as a pro and a man.

EDIT: According to his Twitter he also come into Baltimore on the 18th which is a few days before the first OTA on May 21st.

This. Also he was behind a lot of guys on the depth chart.

Can't wait to see/hear about what he does in TC, though.
