i agree with what you're saying, on principle... but Ravens are still running a business... and if he's really a changed man and srill shows some of the talent he had in college, then he's definitely a better back-up to Joe than Tyrod would ever be (just think the game plan for a big-arm QB won't need to change if Joe would need a rest)

He stole 40 mil from the last team by getting fat and lazy. Nothing shows this will change if he ets paid again.

We already have issues with players getting fat and lazy and struggled to keep them on the straight and narrow while ray was here as a godfather figure. This won't improve with him gone

   - he's been out for a while yes, but he's also been training for the last 6 months or so; we'll know more about how well he can throw if bears extend his visit

   - Ravens won't pay him more than vet minimum and apparently he's happy with that by agreeing to be a back-up to a good qb for a season; thus an agreement just like we had with Rolando would fit the purpose at hand

   - Harbs is going to make sure that doesn't happen anymore as he did with McKinnie, who's now participating at all the activities we run; this approach won't change as long as he's here
