Former Bronco admits to trying to injure a player

"Ring of honor"

This. And the thing is, intentionally injuring a player isn't just illegal in the NFL, it's illegal by U.S. law. He should go to court.

Tommy Kelly did the same thing. He admitted he tried to injure Cam Newton. Man I'm glad he's gone.

Quite surprising!  I saw former Bronco and figured it had to be Romanowski.

Welcome to real life. Players at every level do this, and I don't know many players that haven't at some point. Linemen especially have a knack for trying to hurt other players.

As classless as it appears, it's a part of the game. It has been, and it always will be.

Nalen was known as a dirty player in the early 2000s. There is an NFL Films Ray Lewis piece when he is miked up in a 2003 game in which Nalen tries to take out his knees on a clip at the end of the play. Ray got right up and got into his face pretty good.

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. This happens all the time in every level of this sport from PW to Pro.

Believe it or not, some coaches even make hurting players part of the game plan.

Oh, I know. I remember back when I was in HS playing football I was told to take the WR out by tripping him or even sacking the QB and going for the leg. I was a DB/S in HS & for a little in college. Needless to say, I didn't do that. I was afraid of karma among other things. The players don't look at the coach when you go for the leg--they look at the player, and you know how locker rooms can be.

In baseball, we will intentionally hit batters sometimes but we never do it with an intent to injure a guy.  We only do it in retaliation for things.

One of my old coaches tried to get us to hit the first batter of every game to send a message that we weren't afraid to work inside and that they should be a bit worried.

That is just stupid.

Tell me about it. I was the catcher so I got accused of dirty play and calling for the batter to be hit... Not a pleasant experience. That coach is no longer allowed to coach anymore so that's a plus.

The player always takes the fall because it's ultimately their choice to be dirty. What's funny is if you disobey the coach then you warm the Bench or find another bench. Lol

Well the thing is I didn't call for the pitches lol, the pitchers just decided to listen to the coach and ignore my actual calls...

That's bogus. There should be some kind of honor. You put your body on the line just like me and your career could be over today just like mine...ergo....
