It was just much more loose moderation. Not that what we have sucks, it was just a bit lighter hearted when it came to things. There were also several colorful characters that gave up on this place (or were escorted out)

Also, no offence, it was older folks chatting. So not quite the same subject matter at times.

I still have quotes where warden would (jokingly) threaten to kidnap another Member's wife and stuff her in his trunk.  The moderation has definitely ratcheted up a lot.

9 days until I fly back stateside! I've learned a lot from this deployment. Be that it is my 5th one, this was the most eye opening one for me. Ill have 14 years in when my enlistment is up, and I will not be doing the final 6 to retire. Honestly, I would to recommend the military for anyone anymore unless it was their only option.

I'm not anti military as I have served proudly for 13 years so far but I've learned that the military is caring less and less for their own. Very sad

You mean back in the days when we only had a few hundred members and everyone pretty much "knew" each other? Back when we knew who was joking and could even "get" the joke? Back when there weren't tons of people who never post reading the Dump Thread and reporting posts as offensive? Yep, those were the days.
