The average height for an American woman is just under 5'4".

Yup and it sucks to buy pants when you are 5'9 and a woman lol

It sucks to buy pants for me and I'm only a few inches taller than the average woman. I have a short inseam, and I also have muscle in my legs, so it usually ends with pants that fit my legs, but are three inches too big in the waist, and dragging on the floor. There's no such thing as a 3 long in my closet, since the 3 average is more than long enough to wear heels with...

Bad knees, but I do shred the recumbent bike. Much less impact on my poor little joints...

YES. And size charts are usually at least a little off in terms of figuring out your size.

I agree. Especially super large bikini makers. They should be charged with crimes against humanity.

Recumbent?  Is that a stationary bike?

Pretty much, but it's slightly different. Bigger seat with a back instead of a bike without wheels.

Yup...that's why I tend to go to the mens department....waist measurement and inseam and BOOM....no issues...

although usually the legs of mens jeans, etc. are bigger than mine. Oh well. I'll take it regardless.

No matter how much weight I lose and no matter how much I tone, I'll always be a plus size.

I know those.  They're not as good as regular bikes, because they force you to go slower and they don't work your back.

That's the way women's jeans need to fit. I tend to require a curvy fit since it has a smaller waist and more room in the hips, thighs and butt, but finding those in a short length? Dream on...

Yeah, I want to work my way back up to a treadmill. I've still got a lingering knee injury that was never dealt with properly, and the other knee overcompensated for the bad knee, so now both are bad. It seems to be better with regular exercise, but treadmills and anything higher impact is no bueno for my little joints...

Falling apart and I'm only 27...

Ain't nothing wrong with some meat on the bones. It's the super sized ones in thongs on the beaches here that should be outlawed.

Well, the regular season is days away or as already started depending on who you ask.  I'm glad the Ravens are back in my life!

Is it time for a new Dump Thread?

So I'm on the Ultimate Frisbee team now. I went to practice on wed where it poured like crazy. Todays practice is the real deal. I hope to make a impact for the team. I feel I will be good at the deep pass/jumping catches. Im great sprinting but my endurance hasent been where it used to be. But im glad to be back in this sport again. Go Crusaders!

The manufacturers of womens' clothing are evil incarnate.
My hubby is discovering what I curse about since I broke my hip lol I needed some shorts and he was at the store, I lost so much weight my bike shorts wouldn't stay up, and I asked brand so I could guess a size lol Underware is even worse.
I have long legs 32 In seam so most everything is too short unless its Lands End or tall.
As someone who is not a size 10, just because they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it especially bikinis and spandex.

No matter how much weight I lose and no matter how much I tone, I'll always be a plus size.
Me too, when I figure out how much I've lost and loose skin plus my 2 13 lb babies I will never have a flat tummy unless I get a tummy tuck. I'm too curvy for men's pants but Tshirts are great.

Nurps sounds like you have been on a beach in FL lol Man any size or age wear thongs *shudder* I have seen skinny saggy butt 80 something's and size 26 butt there are no words.
