And now by "prophecy" is turned to reality. Too bad I was never a psychic.

He'll be fine. It's not a serious surgery and it's something many athletes have undergone without much issue.

Some shoulder injury is apparently what made him fall.

Sports hernias can happen anytime and you may not know it. Men are especially susceptible. He probably worked out too hard and weakened the muscles and practiced too hard which caused the onset in camp thus leading to him having the surgery after camp.

He would have been evaluated by the Ravens doctors and wouldn't have been advised to participate in the rookie camp if he had the injury before the rookie camp.

This is not warm and fuzzy info, but at least he is getting the surgery in time to be ready for spring training. We are going to need him to be ready against the Broncos!

At least he didn't fall down the stairs.

Haha exactly what I said to myself when I heard it today.

I think he'll be fine.

Some players have played through sports hernia injuries in the past, I can't remember his name off the top of my head but a year or so ago one of our very own Ravens played with a sports hernia all year

was it Mason? ...idk

if the procedures goes bad, he needs to get to a different doctor for it.

my dad had a hernia surgery 2 years back b/c the mesh(new plastic wall that prevents intestines to drop down to your groin) was too stiff and ripped through.

Because that's something we all want to remember.

yeah there have been guys who can tough it out and still perform

dont give up on Jimmy Smith guys, if he can stay healthy which was his problem in both his first two years then he can get reps, in game reps and build his confidence, a CB with no confidence is an ugly thing to see...

remember his play in the AFCCG in NE the year before? he was a beast and made a spectacular play on a tipped ball for the INT, and he also saved us the SB this year....holding or no holding, he made the plays

If anyone calls that holding, they need an eye check. That's just good, quality press coverage.
