Anyone else tired of hearing "The Ravens have lost too many pieces"?

I agree as well. Copeland has taken snaps at the MIKE in rookie camp, IIRC. I remember reading that somewhere. I could see another Albert McClellan deal where he plays between both positions & on ST.

 

When did the coaches say they saw him as a MLB? I don't remember that. Not that it hasn't been said. I just don't recall reading it.

 

I read a article about Copeland on philly.com where he said in a phone interview the coaches told him they see him as a Mike.

 

Also a article from the Carroll County Times about how well Copeland did a rookie camp.

 

Never really heard it from a coaches, basically taking Copeland's word at this point. I think it's a case where the best shot of this guy getting on the field is at ILB and the coaches wanna give him the best opportunity. However OLB is a better position for him, at least early. But Jameel McClain was coverted from a college DE to a NFL ILB so we'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of our UDFAs makes the team as an ILB. Copeland makes a ton of sense to me especially after what you and 23 told me. I think Will Pericak has a chance to make it as well.

I honestly think we could see the end of Rainey unless Allen loses the job, which I find possible though admittedly not likely.

 

I thought Allen should be used more as a HB type this year. He did a awesome job blocking for JJ on ST. However now with Juice on the team he's definitely in trouble I think. I don't wanna make Juice out to be some rock star because he hasn't even seen live contact yet, but if the guy is as good as advertised, then he might be listed as that #3 RB to make room for both he and Leach.

 

I think if Rainey continue to impress you find a way to keep him. Ray has been plenty durable, but you never know. Rainey would be the prefect compliment to Peirce imo. I do think Berry is gone this year tho.
