Madden 25 Connected Franchise News

Basically folks, EA has released info on the all new Connected Franchise Mode for Madden 25. The three key things that have been announced, Owner Mode is back and this time you can play as any Owner in the League as well as a Player and Coach. Second, NCAA Importing is back and you will be able to Import Draft Classes from NCAA 14, and 32 team control is back as well.

I haven't really been following.  Are they allowing you to edit rosters this year before entering into the franchise mode?  I know they altered it last year to allow you to play offline, but not sure if they're continuing that?  The whole franchise mode was a disaster last year.

From what I have read, you can edit players within Connected Franchise, but I think as a Owner only. Though I'm sure you can edit rosters before heading into Franchise.

Awesome.  The little things just got on my nerves last year.  Waiting for Justin Tucker to be added to the roster was bad enough, but then they kept him in the #6 jersey for so long.

I heard that a lot when they removed the importing ability. Though if you really think about it, don't you end up using fake players by the time it's all set and done in NCAA? You get what, 3 to 4 years worth out of real players in the game before the NCAA landscape is full of fake players that were recruited. So you end up playing with fake players regardless.

Well I am going to pre-order Madden 25 once I get my next paycheck, this sounds way better than what they had in Madden 13. I finally get to enjoy another football game again.

Seems like they realized connected careers was a joke. Glad they did, now i just hope they bring back more stuff like the transactions section (annoyed me that it wasn't in Madden 13), and the fantasy draft offline option.

As happy as I am that they're pretty much putting Franchise mode back to normal (but still with more RPG elements like the coach levels etc.), I still struggle with them saying this level of control is new.

 

Every "new" feature in owner mode was in the last gen PS2 and Xbox installations of Madden...you just didn't have the title of owner.

Agreed, however they couldn't admit that they were wrong to take away those features. They couldn't just say, "We heard you that you missed all these things so we are bringing them back!" Instead its got to be spun as if they have this "new" thing that we all are going to love.

 

But serioulsy, how many things can they indroduce that are truely "new" they've developed all the new features they can, now its just fine-tuning. In fact I sometimes wonder if they don't take away key features from one generation of Madden and then bring it back in the next one to make people buy it again to get the features they originally took out.

I dont think I am buying another madden game. The last one I got was 2012 and it just seems that the gameplay is similar to the year before. Playbooks and routes stay the same. The have the same dynamics every game which adds to the boredom. NFL needs to allow other folks to make NFL Football games as well. Madden shouldnt have exclusive rights. I just think of it like this. I last played 2k5 and in that game you could perform moves with DTs and DEs to beat the O Linemen. Madden, its a game of chance. You could be a 99OVR DT going against a 68OVR center and still not blow him up once in a game. Madden is all wrong across the board but everyone is like shut up and take my money.

Definitely, its like going back to the first Madden that really hooked me (Madden 07 I think?).

 

Now if only they would bring this level of control to NCAA Football...

honestly no one is talking about the Defensive control enhancements ,  Dline now has 18 moves  LBs have 18 each and can combo plus a new Gap Speed Rating for both RB  LB and DE.  I am so stoked to see next weeks E3 presentation apparently EA has 3 Big announcements 1 involves Madden and 2 involve more intense Deals with Former Sports Partners I am guessing  MMA to return and MLB

Also, is it just me or is it total BS that ea takes away stuff from madden and then resells later as a "new" option. We should be making progress in madden, not going backwards and then retracing our steps.

Don't like baseball but that still sounds pretty fun. I just read up on owner mode. You are allowed to change/upgrade stadiums, change cities (including London, Mexico City, LA, Toronto, Brooklyn, Memphis, etc.), upgrade concession stands, bathrooms, and that kind of stuff. Sounds fun. :wootwoot:
