Denver Trip & Game

7 posts in this topic

Is anyone looking at going out to Denver? I've got a fantastic itinery planned leaving Philly on Wed Sept 4th and coming back Saturday Sept 7. Just looking to gauge interest first then I'll give more details accordingly. Roundtrip air on Southwest (non stop flights) runs around $300.

Please be advised that we don't allow ANY advertising, soliciting, selling, etc. on this site. The Ravens have their own official travel agency which can be linked to through the main site.

Nope, just sharing information that's all. Its a pretty cheap roundtrip flight out there with no stops. I want as many Ravens fans out there to celebrate our championship on week one....like champions are supposed to be.

I'll be there.  I live in Maryland, but will be flying in from California on Thursday morning.  Friday morning I'll be flying to Chicago for the weekend to swim the 'Big Shoulders 5k' swim on Saturday and run the Chicago Half Marathon on Sunday.  Busy and very fun couple of days!  I would stay longer in Denver, but I've spent a lot of time there in the past and already have busy schedules before and after.  I'd be interested in meeting up with fellow Ravens' fans before the game.

Woo-hoo!  Got my tickets to the season opener in Denver.  As an added bonus, I'll be in Soldier Field, Chicago a couple of days later rooting on the Bears to beat down the Bengals.

descent into the maelstrom - I have a group going to the Ravens/Bears game 11/17. Any pointers/advice for our time in Chicago would be appreciated.

I'm just a tourist there too, so I am not sure how much advice I can give.  The games in Denver and Chicago are essentially just long layovers for me while flying from California to Maryland.

Two things I recommend in Chicago are 'the Bean' and drinks in the Hancock Tower.  The view from the bar in Hancock is amazing.  I prefer to get there a little before sunset and stay into night.  Definitely the best views of Chicago I've seen are from there.  The drinks used to be reasonably priced, but have gone up the past time or two I've been there.  Still, it's worth it in my opinion.  The Bean in Millenium Park is simply my favorite single piece of art anywhere.  Everything else depends on what you're into and a local would be much better to ask.

Enjoy the game!
