The 6'6 Flacco? If there is anything truely underrated about Flacco, that no one talks about, it's he's a tough dude. I've seen him take some nasty hits

You got to be bold.

Wondering if he comes back with an extra 10lbs to his frame. He could potentially be a new Megatron. Would Optimus Prime be too too un-original?

Lol he can be The Megazord or Serpentera!

My predictions:

Offense- Juice or Aaron Mellette

Defense- Arthur Brown. I think he has a good shot to win DROY if he plays like many people expect him to.

Not sure if thats the easy way out, by taking rookies, but if it is, then i would probably take Deonte Thompson on offense and Michael McAdoo on defense.

Brandon Williams is still my favorite

The dude can bench 500 pounds.  Imagine what he's going to do to lineman.

I also like Furstenburg.  I couldn't believe he wasn't drafted.  Great pickup.

I can't believe I forgot to mention my boy Asa Jackson. He'snow my official top sleeper pick. With the uncertainty at cb behind Webb and Graham I think he gets his shot in camp and shines.

jackson was considered a raw player coming out of college.  he has a ton of potential though, and he had a year to learn.  I could easily see him getting playing time this year.

i would also love for elam to play FS but honestly, his best fit is at SS. if polamalu is a SS, then elam should be a SS, just because they have the same skill set and play real similar, hopefully pees can take advantage of it. if huff doesnt pan out and ihedigbo turns out to be a better option(which is possible) then they can both play either SS or FS so we have some versatility there.

I don't think they will just stick to the traditional roles. Huff and Elam will be asked to do many different things and play both roles at times. If Elam can win the job outright from ihedigbo in camp.

A see a lot of people laughing off David Reed because of his horrible game in Seattle ...and his injury past, but I remember a time when guys were calling Torrey Smith a bust because he struggled in a few games, then he got his confidence up and he took off.

Same could go for D Reed if healthy

I agree with this. I believe reed is the most likely to start and the front office obviously has confidence in him.

Reed is really despised for some reason. Lol. I know he had some stupid fumbles but you know another guy who had those kind of fumbles? Jacoby Jones. People seem to like him.

Lol at swype. I love the words it thinks I am typing at times.

And don't forget who fumbled the same game as reed and in the playoffs. Rice.

Why? So you're saying Reed if healthy can't get better and redeem himself, go from bust and goat to solid and productive player? Sheesh, I guess you wanted to cut Torrey Smith too

Remember when we signed Jacoby Jones? The guy who had two fumbles for the Texans in the playoffs? Everyone was up in arms and he was already labeled a failure, chocker, bust....well guess what he was a big reason we went on and won the superbowl.

Takes certain guys time to develop. If I can make an analogy to the Orioles, this guy Chris Tillman was a bust, he had his chances and each time he got lit up and sent to the minors. Well last year, year 4 I think, it finally clicked for him mentally and now he's been one of the more reliable SP for the O's

I am also not 100% sold Elam will start right away. Ihedigbo was very solid late last year. I think camp and preseason will be very interesting here.

Ihedigbo will not be starting in any capacity unless of injury.  Ihedigbo is essentially a less violent Pollard.  We took Elam so we could have a safety that can cover in the slot.  Ihedigbo can't do that and Elam can hit just as hard as Ihedigbo.

I'd love to see the rise of an UDFA, but I'm pretty sure that it will more likely be a fringe guy that suddenly gets a break.

I liked James Ihedigbo too...but it'll be hard for him to be a starter because Elam was drafted high and so far he's shown to be a quick leader and has the ability to call plays already..communicates well

Meshak williams and Matt furstenburg are the most likely candidates here.

I think that Furstenburg will need to show a lot on STs to make the roster.  If we carry 2 FBs and 3 TEs, then we may only be able to carry 6 WRs.  Williams was very good at Kansas State.  The DE position is full of talent.

My friend who lives in Wichita told me he wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens converted Williams to ILB. Not sure how I feel about it but he watches more of their games than I have so just putting this out there.

I think Brandon Copeland could be a guy we use inside like we do McClellan. He saw snaps at MLB in rookie camp.

ihedigbo, S, will make an impact, he will replace pollard nicely

I'm expecting/hoping for that as well.

I also believe Williams will be a linebacker for us. He is 6'3. 245. Not sure how well he will do inside or even outside where it is crowded. The key will be to see how he can do in coverage.

No offense to Ihedigbo because he is a solid backup and good stopgap starter, but I think the coaching staff, front office, and fan base would be absolutely disappointed if Elam and Huff aren't our starting safeties in September...

You may end up being right, but right now I affectionately refer to him as Butterfingers McFumblesalot. I hope he does well  and that I'm wrong about him. I guess time will tell.

Optimus Prime is already taken by Richard Sherman

That = unoriginal.

And to that point, we can save the debate for when Streeter's play becomes relevant on the field cause aside from not knowing Sherman was "Prime" I sure as heck didn't ever hear Mike Tirico bellowing out "OPTIMUS PRIME WITH THE INTERCEPTIONNNNNN!!!!!

Matt Elam would like to have a word with you.

u think a rookie would just walk n and just  hand him the spot, he's gonna have to earn that,  Ihedigbo looked pretty good last year when he replaced BP, if anything they will ease  Elam into the starting  lineup, spend time on ST, they're not gonna throw him to the fire.

does anyone know how many players u can put on the PUP list?

PUP is only for players who report to camp injured. They can return after 6 weeks into the season. There is no limit.

IR is for any player who practiced even once after training camp opened. They can not return during the season, except that 1 may be designated to return. There is no limit on the number of players BUT rookies must clear waivers before they can be IR'd.
