We need a proven NFL quarterback and Troy is the only guy right for us. He will not push to start and he has had some success in the NFL. Although he's only 6' 0" tall he fits in height wise with the likes of Joe Thiesman, Drew Brees and Jim McMahon all Superbowl winners so his height should not be a factor. Troy has a nice arm. He can throw over the top with the best of them. harbaugh had some good things to say about some of his throws after a preseason game. "There were some nice NFL throws by Troy." What do you think?

I think Stan is yanking our chain a bit. Good one though. You had me going with the whole Tebow argument. Very convincing. It was too soon after the Tebow one to try a Troy Smith thread and have anyone take you seriously. Your comic timing needs a little work.

This forum should be a place where we challenge each other to think. Brain storming is a powerful tool. However I'm not the one keeping this thread going. I never said that I wanted the thread closed. I said that I find it an amusing aside, something to banter about until the season starts. Beats all the "Ravens get snubbed" and "who is the better(name the position)" threads.

I enjoy the oddball threads and the various trolls or fanboy groupies who start them. They are fun. I find the irrational arguments, and illogical posturing amusing and entertaining, in a small way. Keep up the good work! I look forward to more of your humerus insights.

My point on the Ravens reading about what we want means in a backup role as a camp arm so to speak. Give a popular guy who can play at a shot in camp in the manner of bringing in local players to compete. Many of them get cut . Why not do some PR if it doesn't cost anything. :)
