QB's biggest arm

125 posts in this topic

Joe doesn't have the strongest arm in the league fellas (sorry).  He throws the best deep ball in the league though.

The two are very different.

None of the guys that are mentioned have the strongest arm in the NFL.  Rodgers, Cutler, Young?????????

What game tape are you watching? Joe has a cannon for an arm. Even if you don't think he's number 1, for him to not even be in discussion as a QB with a huge arm is idiocy and bias.

I bet he thinks Tyrod has a stronger arm than Joe too lol

A strong arm is required to heave the ball a great distance, no?

Flacco's long ball goes Higher up then everyones elses.. Hes top 5, but i think a couple have more velocity. But if you want the highest arch combined with distance then flacco is the dude.

Smokin Jay Cutler has the strongest arm in the league, but isn't as accurate as Joe. Joe has a far superior deep ball than Smokin Jay.

Anyone with half a brain can see that Joe has a cannon and is accurate with it to boot. I personally think Joe throws the best deep ball in the NFL and I am willing to bet that his stats could back that up.

No. A strong arm is required to be from VA tech and should have the ability to scramble

These experts must have short memories...

Did they all go fishing together when Flacco threw a 70 yard bomb to Jacoby Jones?

I can watch this all day...

Nuff said right there

my list of cannons would be

1. cutler

2. flacco

3. stafford

4. vick

5. rodgers

ive always thought joe was just a bit behind cutler, but ONLY by a little. cutlers got a freaking rocket, now he may be a cry baby, but hes got arm strength, im expecting to get negged about this lol, but let me just add, i think flacco is a much better overall qb than cutler, because cutler may edge out joe by JUST A LITTLE on strength, joe has a clutch factor and a sneaky mobility behind the LOS, and is ballsy enough to make any throw, but also smart enough to make the RIGHT throws, cutler is lacking all of that lol

Cutler is definitely up there. He throws more fastballs, but Joe has the best deep ball in the game. He tosses it 60-70 yds and makes it look effortless. Joe's arm strength is really most apparent on the deep out and post routes though. There are some QBs who just can't make those throws.

Preach it brother. Lol.

Joe throws the ball so hard it causes our wide receivers to drop it. I honestly believe that 100%. It makes sense when you realize the drops our guys have had. Joe has a rail gun for an arm.

it's not about how far or hard you can throw it if there is no accuracy.  There is no QB more accurate on the deep ball the Flacco.  That vid was impressive.  I think he could probably throw further than that now.

that video is nuts.

Rayan ( who SOME say is "better " than Flacco )  threw for 62.

I love Joes attitude too.

I am glad he is our QB

Yea that article was pretty ridiculous. Although this doesn't have to do with distance, thought it was pretty appropriate in support of our franchise QB who just won us a Superbowl. Now its debatable that these fantasy files, or atleast some of them, are digitally altered to make these things possible. Anyway, here is Joe.

I was reading on NFL.com about QB's who have the "biggest arm" and I was very surprised that Flacco wasn't on the list since he has one of the best deep balls in the game. Then again, it is NFL.com and these so called "experts" http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000201101/article/biggest-arm-in-nfl-aaron-rodgers-matt-stafford-battle-it-out

every single of those "experts" and their answers ..... are all opinionated .  in the NFL's eyes Flacco will never ever be a elite QB remember? it just goes hand in hand with every sports outlet hopping on the flacco hating bandwagon. no matter what the man does, he could put up 6,000 yards this season ( hypothetically speaking here) and 60 TDs and you would barely hear anything about it. and when you did..... it would be these "opinions" from Former players. exc. of course with their way, flacco wouldn't get anything.

so im not surprised.  typical. since his name isn't Manning. or Brady.

I agree with you upto 4.... After that, Vick, RG3, Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Burger and then Brees would be last...

He has a Cannon i never said he shouldn't be mentioned in the discussion of who has the biggest arm. Just none of the guys that were mentioned have the biggest NFL arm, there is no bias in the truth.

Sure,  Are you asking if Joe has a strong arm?  Yes he does.  Is it the strongest arm in the league?  Close maybe,  but no.

He throws the best deep ball in the league but he doesn't have the strongest arm.  As i previously stated.

Hands down its Flacco,

He's not the most accurate and he surely isn't mobile, but he has a rocket launcher of an arm

Actually I think his mobility and athleticism in general is underrated. Last year we saw him role out of the pocket and throw the ball on the run with alright results. The reason people doesn't see him as mobile qb is because sometimes he lacks pocket awareness. But with that said I think he's pretty fly for a white guy!

Nah man, this is about who has the strongest arm, not who is the best at strong-arming their team into giving them terrible contracts...you'd have to drop Colt McCoy off that list too I suppose though.

I think its Flacco hands down. His accuracy was an issue with the deep ball early on, cause I think he took alittle longer to get used to faster receivers, and adjusting to their speed. But it seems hes used to Torrey and Jacoby now. I think it will be even better this coming year.
