Bernard Pollard animosity?

Maybe part of the reason Pollard was let go was for his mouth, but he was also a bit of a problem on the field with the penalties and blown assignments.

I think he felt with Ed + Ray going he was going to be part of the veteran leadership going forward. I don't think the team saw it that way. The way he is carrying on I think it's becoming obvious why.

You must want these grow men to be mind less fools for the organization they play for. Heads up buddy, CrushBoy was the Union PR for the Raven Players so it was his job to speak out against things that they felt where wrong. Remember Harbs tried to make them play in full pads that time after the Houston lost, well that was against the new CBA rules buddy .......

I don't wish to question the accuracy of your sources, but I would be suprised if the Ravens had used all 11 padded practices that have to be used in the first 11 weeks by that stage of the season or if it was the third such practice of the week. It's a fairly serious accusation to say that the coaching staff were knowingly attempting to break the CBA. I'm suprised it wasn't a bigger story.

is Boldin going to the White House?

Yes.  He is going to find out why the IRS is targeting NFL players who leave the Ravens.

Pollard was cut for his big yap.  He also had a big head and wanted a big raise too.  No wonder Harbs had it in for him.

Anyways... Pollard can talk all he wants, but he can't deny that he was part of a team that earned a ring. He did his work and we moved on. I think after time passes, he'll come to his senses to appreciate a tough disciplinary organization ran by Harbaugh. There's why no non-sense organizations like the Belichick's Patriots, Coughlin's Giants, and Harbaugh's Ravens contend every year.

Pollard bounced around the league like a pool ball several times.  He'll end up playing somewhere and I want to see Leach block him on a running play, too.

What does that have to do with Cam...?

this mutiny we keep hearing about was a direct shot at cam and how he was running the offense, and pollard was the first one to speak up. if the players didnt speak up then cam would still be our OC and we would have lost in the playoffs

  • Kansas City Chiefs (2006–2008)
  • Houston Texans (2009–2010)
  • Baltimore Ravens (2011–2012)
  • Tennessee Titans (2013–present)

No offense to Pollard, but do we really need conspiracy theories to figure out why BP isn't on the team anymore?

When are they meeting the President? Are the other players who left this season going to attend too? Pollard needs to change his attitude. It's very selfish behavior.

Big hitter but not so big in coverage might have something to do with it.  No one likes a dissenting voice in the locker room.

Is it true what happened between him and Bynes? If so then he had to go.

I didn't read the whole article because I have the same biased opinion in that he wore out his welcome in KC, Houston, and now Baltimore. Perhaps he might do the same in Tennessee. Will we still comment about it?

I know what else we'll be seeing from him for sure is a bunch of PFs over the season with him doing a bunch of finger pointing at the refs and people on the sidelines.

You think he's a WR in disguise??

"I gotta sit this one out, man. I actually have a vacation with my family and then I'm coming back to get [my ring]. If I didn't have a vacation, I wouldn't come in anyway."

Harbaugh:

If you wouldn't be going ANYWAY, why the hellz did you bother to mention the vacation as your primary excuse?

I'm still confused as to what actually happened. No one outside of the parties involved, and who they decided to tell, will know anyways. But did he challenge his manhood or something? That's just such an extreme hatred it sounds like he has now.

I was wondering something similar about what the Indy coach said to him that resulted in the 15 yd unsportsmanlike conduct penalty

I don't know. His comments just seem really irrational to be that angry unless Harbaugh (which I'm assuming is the one he's ticked off at) said or did something that Pollard felt threatened by last year. Who knows.

I wish Bernard luck in Titans.  He was a rock for us.  He broke 6 ribs and played his heart out for Ravens.

You guys can kick his tires and take sides.  But his been a blast to watch.

Good luck in your future Pollard.

They never really said what the mutiny was or wasn't about, just that it began by the players not being happy about a padded practice and led to other issues.

It is not against the CBA rules to have padded practices. They are only limited in the number of padded practices they can have. I highly doubt we'd hit our allowed number by the Houston game.

it could be rumors and speculation but it seems to be a pretty widespread consensus that the mutiny led to cams firing

EDIT: obviously the losing streak probably was the breaking point, but its been said a lot that the team meeting was where the idea of cams firing was sparked

I didn't hear anything about the mutiny affecting the Cam firing.

I don't either. I pretty sure Cam was fired because there was a feeling that he was holding Flacco back. I don't think it had anything to do with the mutiny.

Just let this drama go and stop talking it about it.   Whatever happened happened.  Few fuse broke out after a hard week of practice and losing a game.  It's understandable.   Media spun the incident as a 'mutiny', but @ the end people just had their misunderstanding and they talked and we overcome it and won a Superbowl.

Only giving media a bite to spin another tale of b.s. to feed outsiders.    Let it go folks.

I would have preferred if Pollard had just aired it all out, nobody is perfect but I don't buy for a second that whatever went down was all on him.

I don't understand why people always want to apply some conspiracy theory to why Pollard isn't here anymore.  He's a hard hitter and a monster with unbelievable tolerance for pain and I respect that.  But he was also a safety that allowed 75% of all passes thrown to his responsibility to be caught.  Let me repeat that, three out of every four passes thrown to his man were caught.  Add to it that his big hits also came with a lot of big penalties and I don't need a conspiracy or some idea that Steve Bisciotti would allow Johnbaugh's pride/ego to screw with his billion-dollar-plus franchise.

I do know one thing. You'll never hear from Harbaugh what might have/have not happened, because our organization is classy. He'll take the high road, while Pollard figures out a way a year from now to wiggle his way out of Tennessee. ;)
