I keep seeing stories posted on NFL about the Eagles and Kellys offense. Does anyone here believe that his offense could be successful at the NFL level?

 

I do but only if the entire offense is sold on it, applies theirselves to it, and sticks with it.

We'll see. Oregon Offense is built on speed and misdirection. However, in the NFL, everyone is bigger, faster, and stronger than college athletes. I look like at the Wildcat Offense as an example since it was all the rage back in 2009, but died out due to the fact that defenses were playing more discipline football against it. The only way Chip Kelly's offense is to survive is by mixing it with many forms of offenses to keep the defenses guessing. I don't think it will be successful if all they run are Inside zone read, outside zone read, sweep read, and power plays. However, this offense is really dependent on their offensive line to make their zone block.

This guy has studied and made a full analysis of Chip Kelly's offense. I'm pretty sure the NFL has the same intel as he does.

If Kelly runs strictly what he ran at Oregon, the Eagles will suck.

 

However, Kelly is known as a very creative play caller. It's unfair to assume that the offense run in Oregon is the only offense Kelly can run. Kelly ran that offense because of all the speed he had to work with. He creates schemes that fit his players. That's why I think the Eagles will have a good offense this year, pending the quarterback play.

Well, we'll see how he does. I'm not yet sold on him as a head coach. I think it wiser to have him as an offensive coordinator before s head coach. You have no idea if his gimmick offense will succeed at this level. The college game does not always translate to the Pro. He seems to recognize this. My only problem with him is he has had no NFL coaching experience.
