Thank you, I love his upside and didn't want to risk losing him before my next pick. I actually saw something about him effortlessly dropping into coverage on Lamar Miller in practice which I thought was really impressive with Miller's speed.

What scheme are you running?

4-3 under with potentially some 3-4 looks depending on the personnel I can land. I have two players up front in Brockers and Wilkerson that can play multiple roles and its one of the reasons I went with Bishop. Him and Beason should be versatile in either front.

Not sure how much it will help given Locker's tendency to run but good pick

 

Thank you. I'm not as worried about Locker's scrambling as I am about keeping a clean pocket. He was injured while in the pocket once in 2011 and in 2012. The hits by Tracy Porter and Glover Quin were both blind side hits. To be honest, I actually believe that Locker's legs were underutilized last season. He picked his spots well when scrambling in the games that I've seen, and I felt that he was used more as a pocket passer, which he isn't. The stats show a bit of that, as he had the lowest amount of runs among scrambling QBs with just 3.7 per contest. Russell Wilson had the second lowest with a 6.1. Yet Locker's YPC of 7.0 was the 2nd highest among the same group as well, trailing just Colin Kaepernick's 7.7. I'll live with him scrambling as long as he's able to see the nearest defender.
